- Fort Bay - Optional taxis meet the passengers at the boat, this area is called Fort Bay
- The Bottom - First stop is a village called the Bottom, on up to Windwardside, where the trails start for hiking and tours continue over through Hells Gate with a look down to the airport, precariously balanced out on a lava overflow. Taxi tours are the only way to get up and into the island as the walk up from Fort Bay to The Bottom is vertical and strenuous. The views are spectacular. Drivers will stop at places of interest to take photos, and will let hikers out at the trail with arrangements to meet them for the return journey to Fort Bay.
- Windwardside - . It is possible to stop at any point and return to Windwardside, or challenge the climb for the views from the top. The Saba Trail Shop asks a US$3 donation for the trail upkeep, and guests receive a trail badge. Windwardside boasts great little restaurants for lunch. There are a few shops selling local crafts such as hand blown glass, jewelry and artwork. The villages are quaint with low built cottages all whitewashed with red and green roofs, tiny narrow roads and very friendly locals.

Her beauty extends from her peak to her depths. It takes a journey of 75-90 minutes to reach there, docking at Fort Bay, the singular direct sea connection on Saba. Saba is circled by sharp cliffs, and the ancient slave path, where cargo was disembarked for transport to the hamlets via donkey, is still preserved.

Stunning beauty - Okay first off Trip Advisor update your posting about this excursion. If you get sea sick or car sick stop reading now. If not this was 10/10 incredible.
First off you will get a call telling you to go to the police station, this is wrong so trip advisor please update. You meet at Aqua Mania Adventures and Simpson Bay resort and check in. All very organized, then you take the boat over takes about an hour and 1/2. The boat is rocky and hot so bring zofran and a fan but you get beer and drinks and the crew was great.
Once you get there you check into customs at Saba and meet your taxi driver who is also your tour guide. We got paired with a total of 8 of us (who before going had zero clue what we really signed up for)
Michael our tour guide was amazing we spent up until noon seeing the island, all the villages, the airport, hells gate and even a local glass blowing artist. The views are insane. Then we had a great lunch which was included.
From there you can hike for about an hour or go explore the city and then meet the taxi driver for one more tourist stop then back to customs. The roads are straight up so if you get car sick be prepared. Bring water if you want to hike. We absolutely loved it though and would recommend it.

Day trip to Saba - I had always wanted to go to Saba having flown over it many years before and was struck by its exotic look. I finally was able to go there for a day trip and it did not disappoint. It is physically impressive and you are in awe at how generations of Sabans have managed to make a good life out of very challenging circumstances. I would recommend Saba highly and the company ( Aqua Mania of St. Maarten ) who did the day trip.

A perfect day! - It was perfectly organized... the food good... the crew insanely friendly... the crossing slightly wobbly, but the kids loved it.

Unspoiled Queen - Approximately 1.5 hour crossing and can be bumpy. Tour was informative for history, scenery and culture. Lunch was at a lovely pool restaurant with a good view. Included a glass of wine. Pre-arrange for hiking and you will get a packed lunch to take with you. Drop by the Johnson Museum after lunch for a short, but fun, look at an original Saba cottage. Saba is beautiful! Well worth the trip.

A must to do if you go to Sint Maarten - Saba is a must to see. Pristine Dutch island, absolutely gorgeous. I was a little confused at first as to how the trip was arranged. Essentially, if you book (like we did) for the taxi tour you are met at the ferry dock by a taxi driver with a van. There were about 10 of us in the van. The driver (Mike) took us around the island showing us the sights and talking about the history. Very well done. At one point, we stopped for a very tasty lunch (included in the price of the tour) along with a rum tasting afterwards. We then walked around town for a little before resuming the tour. The taxi then takes you back to the dock for the return trip to Sint Maarten. Well organized and very friendly tour.

Good day trip - Awesome tour. I would do it again on another visit. My tour guide Michael was friendly and knowledgeable. It was definitely worth it for me.

Spectacular Saba - What a wonderful tour of Saba. Our taxi driver Michael was perfect. We really appreciated the small group and the lunch in a very nice restaurant. We recommand this excursion. Saba is spectacular.

Beautiful View - A different kind of experience. Small island with beautiful views of mountains and towns.
The boat ride was rough with the water. You can barely stand. The staff was very nice they try to get everything you need so you don’t need to stand up.
The food was excellent, they give you choices. We had fish. It was delicious. We order ( not included in the free meal ) rum and raisin ice cream. The best we ever had. Unique flavor.

Day trip Saba - Made a day trip to Saba. Saba itself is beautiful!!
We only had our 1.5 year old son with us and that made it less suitable. Saba is especially nice for hiking, which was not an option with him (also in a baby carrier) because it was too strenuous for that.
The journey itself was quite intense, due to high waves. Of course, this will probably be much less on another day. Once you get there you will have about 3.5 hours to explore the island. That's quite short. On second thought, we would have preferred an overnight stay rather than booking.
