- Peles Castle - Constructed between 1873 and 1914, Peles Castle was built for Romania’s first King, Carol I. The King visited Sinaia in 1866 and was so charmed by the area that he decided to stay briefly. The castle has hosted several notable events and visitors, including the old emperor of Austria-Hungary, Franz Joseph, in 1896, the abdication of King Michael I, Romania’s last king, and a visit from Richard Nixon, the President of the USA. Currently, the castle is owned by the Royal Family and the Ministry of Culture.
- Sinaia - Visitors are invited to savor traditional cuisine at one of Sinaia’s finest restaurants.
- Cantacuzino Castle - Completed in 1911, the castle was built on the site of an old hunting lodge used by the prince’s family during their pilgrimages to Brașov. The interior of the castle exudes a romantic charm. During the communist era, it served as a sanatorium. After communism, the castle was returned to its rightful heir. Now privately owned, it has been open to the public since 2010. Alongside its traditional features, since 2016, the castle’s courtyard has hosted an adventure park for children and parents, as well as two restaurants. In 2022, the castle was used as a filming location for the Netflix series “Wednesday.”
