We’re so GLAD we came! - We had an amazing time this past week visiting this museum. Cynthia and Abby were super friendly from the moment we walked in. They were extremely knowledgeable about the history of carnival and how the costumes (mas) are made. We loved that it was an immersive experience that allowed you to touch the pieces while having a nice top shelf open bar! They had art pieces, as well as instruments, they even had me try on a set of wings with a headpiece. We never felt rushed and they allowed us to take our time after the guided tour. Having Dominican roots knowing only a little about carnival, this really was great time where we had fun but also learned a lot. 10/10!

Don’t skip this one - Such a wonderful experience, we learned a lot and the costumes the owner (I think his name was Jared) makes are works of art. The staff were amazing as well.

A Carnival Experience You Can’t Miss! - I traveled to St. Maarten at the end of Carnival in May, thinking I had missed out on the full celebration. But stepping into We Culture Caribbean Carnival History Experience Museum made up for it—and more!
Gerald Hart, the passionate owner and director, personally led our tour, sharing an authentic, in-depth look into the island’s Carnival traditions. From stunning costumes to immersive storytelling, every moment was crafted to make us feel like we were truly part of the experience. His staff (Two beautiful and kind young ladies) was equally amazing—knowledgeable, welcoming, and eager to share their love for Carnival.
One of the highlights was the time we spent after the tour, discussing even more history with Gerald and his team. Their dedication to preserving and sharing this cultural gem is inspiring.
🌟 If you're visiting St. Maarten, this museum is a must-visit. Whether you're a first-time traveler or a Carnival enthusiast, you’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation for the heart and soul of the island.

Museum & history lovers - this is for you! - It was our lucky day! We went early so it was chill & the owner was there and had the time to join the tour and give additional historical facts, tell us about his family & their heritage, the costumes he's done - I love stories so this was an excellent experience. They do have an open bar with admission but since we were booked so early we didn't drink much. They let us try on the costumes & take pictures and take a decorative headband home. Highly recommend.
