From the famous Well with a unique stairway (the initiate well in Quinta da Regaleira) to the immensity of the ocean clashing into land (at the most western point of Europe – Cabo da Roca) with the finish topping of the crown on top of the Mountain’s (Pena Palace).

- I highly recommend Wonder Van. Alex, our tour guide, was amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely seemed to love sharing his city and its history with us. He was also kind, entertaining, and an amazing host. The jeep tour was a perfect choice for our family, which includes a 12 yr old and a 9 yr old. They both loved being in the open air jeep, and he even let them stand up during our off road time. Overall a great experience!

Must do tour! - You HAVE to do this tour! It was an absolutely perfect taste of a little bit of everything that Sintra has to offer. If you book this tour, I strongly recommend booking it with Alex. He was the best tour guide we had in Portugal. Incredibly knowledgeable about the landscape, buildings, and history of the surrounding area. We came out of the tour knowing so much more about the history and culture of the Sintra area. Thank you Alex for the highlight of our trip!

Unforgettable Jeep Tour Around Sintra! - The jeep tour around Sintra was truly an unforgettable experience for me! We had the best guide we could ever ask for (huge shout out to you, Tomás 🙌🏼). He not only made the whole trip fun and engaging, but also taught us so much about Portugal and its hidden gems. From breathtaking views to local insights you wouldn’t get anywhere else, this tour had it all ✨

An unforgettable experience!!! - I went on the Historical Sintra Jeep Adventure as a solo traveler, and it was absolutely one of the highlights of my time in Portugal! Our guide, Luis, made the experience unforgettable. He grew up in the area and his deep knowledge of Sintra’s history, culture, and hidden gems really brought the tour to life.
Our group was small—just myself and two other lovely ladies—which made the experience feel more personal and intimate. Luis was not only knowledgeable, but also engaging, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the day.
We explored a variety of stunning locations around Sintra, from magical castles and palaces to scenic viewpoints nestled in the hills. We also got to sample local pastries and try the famous Portuguese cherry liqueur, ginjinha.
This tour was the perfect mix of history, local culture, and natural beauty. If you’re thinking about visiting Sintra and want a guided experience with a passionate local, I can’t recommend Luis and this jeep adventure enough. An incredible day from start to finish!

An Amazing, Unforgettable Adventure with the Best Guides on Planet Earth! - This tour was fantastic. My trip isn’t even halfway through, and I’m positive that this adventure will be a top highlight of the whole thing. Tomás and Sergio were unbelievable guides. So kind, and energetic, and full of valuable information and enthusiasm. Exactly what you want. The small group size (ours was only 3 people) was perfect, and it allowed Tomás and Sergio to suggest ways we might personalize and customize the tour in ways that you simply couldn’t do with a group of 55 people. We elected to go for a drive along the coast, down to Cascais, at the end of the tour and had such a blast along the way. The tour absolutely delivered on its promise that we’d visit places where we’d be the only people around. It was awesome. The type of thing that could only happen in an off road jeep. We took in astounding views and didn’t have to work around other tourists for the best photos and vantage points! An absolutely ideal experience - and one that felt so one of a kind. This was a tour run by locals, who shared with us an intimate knowledge not just of the tourist sights like Pena palace, but also of the town of Sintra to begin with. There’s something so special about your guide showing us the place his parents got married on your way to a tourist stop. Or driving along the coast and randomly seeing that same guide’s sister jumping up to say hello as you pass her and her friends on the road. This stuff just doesn’t happen with an enormous tour group. The pace was never rushed, and our interests were always taken into account when moving from place to place. For example, I’m a photographer, and Tomás and Sergio were very kind to indulge my desire to really look around and take my time to find some perfect shots - never rushing us, but also making sure we stayed on task to get everything out of the tour that we could. Tomás and Sergio were such excellent guides because it felt like we were visiting two old friends we hadn’t seen in a while, who were showing us around their home with such verve and excitement. There was always a fun fact to share, never a dull moment - or a moment where anything felt stuffy and scripted. The tour was billed as an adventure - and that is surely what it was!

11/10 personalized experience - My wife and I had the greatest time with Tomás and he made our last day in Portugal incredible. We very much appreciate that he cares about the guests enough to curate a tour that suits what you are specifically looking to find. This includes lunch spots that are personal favorites of the guide and even cities that aren’t even on our radar. He made every opportunity to connect with each guest. Sometimes we don’t always follow the exact timeline of the day, but that is by design and he made sure to give us wonderful perspective, not only on the historical aspects of the city but also the current residents and where locals are spending their time currently. Thank you Tomás for killing it with the group!
