• Castelo dos Mouros - Constructed by the Moors in the 8th and 9th centuries, it served as a crucial strategic point during the Reconquista and was captured by Christian forces after Lisbon’s fall in 1147. It is often referred to as the “crown” of Sintra.

We will pause at certain viewpoints where the Castle can be seen.

• Palacio e Parque Biester - The Biester Palace, dating back to the late 19th century (1880-1890), is a quintessential Romantic work, both eclectic and vibrant, with elegant facades that reflect the peak of the period’s taste. The exquisite frescoes and carvings, which lavishly adorn all the walls, were crafted by renowned artists Luigi Manini and Leandro Braga.
