The beauty of Sintra and much more! - This tour can be tailored to what you would like to see and do but, my mother and I chose to follow our guide Rui's itnarary, which was perfect for our visit to Sintra! From the steps of the National Palace of Sintra, then on to the National Palace of Pena, from there to Quinta De Regaleira and continuing on to the coast to take in the beautiful sea side views, with our final stop at the most Western point of Portugal! Rui was very welcoming and happy too share his time and country with us , which we thoroughly enjoyed! I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Rui! On a side note be prepared for much walking and climbing of stairs! You will definitely get your steps in with this tour! 😀

Great Day - Great way to spend a day. Our guide, Rui, took us around Cascais and Sintra. We saw much more than we would have on our own. Rui introduced us to local cuisine, taught us about local history, and catered the day to us.

Beautiful castles of Sintra! - Amazing tour!!! You will see beautiful castles, charming little towns and breathtaking coast along the way! Rui was excellent driver and a tour guide. Very helpful and kind. His recommendation for lunch was awesome! Great food and unforgettable views! Love the whole experience!

Our memorable tour of Sintra, Pena Palace and Cascais with Joao - Months have passed since our trip to Portugal but the memories haven’t faded. The day we spent exploring Sintra, the Pena Palace and Cascais with our guide, Joao, was one of our favorites! He helped us navigate picturesque villages (making sure we stopped for authentic pastries at Piriquita in Sintra and the best ice cream (Santini) in Cascais). His storytelling capabilities helped bring historical facts to life as we toured the marvelous Pena Palace. From there we drove through the winding streets of Sintra, stopping at a cork tree for a lesson on cork harvesting. We continued along the coast, pausing for a relaxing and delicious lunch at Nortada, then visited the seaside community of Cascais. Joao made dinner reservations for the following night for us (highly recommend Nunes’ in Lisbon) and offered to drive us there, which he did! We look forward to returning to this beautiful city, its hospitable people and reuniting with our new friend Joao.

Private Tour of Sintra - Rui Correia de Jesus was an absolute delight! He planned a fantastic private tour from Lisbon to Sintra, and his communication was top-notch - he even accommodated a time change from 8:30 to 10 am with no issues at all. The scenic drive along the coastline was stunning, and Rui's thoughtful touches, like stopping for the famous Portuguese pastries, made the experience even more special. He also took us to the charming village of Cascais, which was a lovely bonus. Rui's expertise and warm personality made the tour truly unforgettable. Highly recommend!

The Perfect Day in Sintra – Thanks to Rui! - Our private tour of Sintra and drive through Cascais with Rui was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment he picked us up in the morning at our hotel, we knew we were in great hands. Rui timed everything perfectly to help us beat the crowds and traffic—we breezed through spots that would’ve had us waiting in long lines if we’d gone on our own. Even our stop for coffee and pastries in Sintra were timed to perfection!
Rui’s knowledge of the region and its history brought every palace and castle to life. He guided us through each stop with fascinating stories, thoughtful insights, and genuine enthusiasm. He knew exactly where to take us for the best photos—and happily became our personal photographer for the day.
One of the most memorable moments was lunch at a seaside restaurant where the owner had caught, cleaned, and cooked our fish fresh that day. It was served tableside and absolutely delicious—something we never would have discovered without Rui.
We saw and learned more in one day with him than we could have managed in several days on our own. His passion, professionalism, and warm personality made the whole experience feel effortless and unforgettable. If you're visiting Sintra, do yourself a favor and book a day with Rui—you won’t regret it!

Fantastic tour! - We highly recommend booking a tour with Rui at Jump In. He picked us up at our lodging, listened to what we hoped to experience during the day and modified our itinerary to stay away from crowds and long lines. He brought us to a beautiful palace with hardly any tourists, booked a seaside lunch and helped us order, bought us many local sweet treats and we ended the day with sangria on a deck overlooking the river. We couldn't have been more pleased with our day and a huge shout out to Rui for sharing such an authentic Portuguese experience.

Great tour, well worth it! - We were debating just taking the train to Sintra vs having a guide and I'm so glad we decided to book this tour. Our guide, Keith, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He customized the tour to our needs and made sure we had a great time.
I would highly recommend visiting Sintra and booking this tour to anyone!

My family and I had an... - My family and I had an amazing experience! Nuno was friendly, polite and so knowledgeable about everywhere we went. We finished off our day at a lovely restaurant Nuno recommended on the coast of Sintra. Wonderful tour, fantastic guide! Couldn’t ask for a better experience touring and learning about Pina Palace and Sintra. Highly recommended.

Girls trip - We had a great time with Gui on our private tour from Lisbon to Sintra. Gui was very knowledgeable about Sintra, the castles, history and culture. We had plenty of time for rest, shopping, food etc. our guide was also very flexible with schedule and offered different options of the tour. Overall I highly recommend this private tour. Had a great time with our friends! Will definitely book again! Thank you
