• Skaftafell - This extended glacier hike leads participants to Falljökull, one of the outlets of the impressive Vatnajökull, the largest glacier in Europe. The hike follows a trail of blue ice and striking formations, set against a dynamic landscape sculpted by the glacier. Friendly and knowledgeable guides accompany participants throughout the journey, unveiling the icy wonders of Falljökull.

The tour begins at the Skaftafell booking center, located 327 km (203 miles) from Reykjavík. The closest towns to Skaftafell are Kirkjubæjarklaustur, 69 km to the west, and Höfn, 130 km to the east. From the booking center, participants board a 4x4 bus that transports them to the glacier’s base.

• Note that waterproof pants, waterproof jacket and hiking boots can be rented at the meeting point for a small fee.
• We provide all safety gear. Please note that our specialized glacier crampons are only available for shoe size 35-50 EU. Those with a different shoe size are unfortunately unable to participate.
• This tour is rated as moderate. Guests should be prepared to hike ~8km over uneven terrain
