Captured the Spirit of Skagway and the Stampeders - Our party of 5 took the 3.5 hr tour of the White Pass Summit, Tormented Valley and Yukon Suspension Bridge. This tour felt more personalized than the White Pass Railroad excursion, thanks to Marissa, our excellent tour guide. The tour started on time. Check in was seamless. Marissa tries her best to seat every party next to each other. But you don’t have to worry because every seat gets a wonderful view either going to the suspension bridge or back to Skagway. Marissa started the tour with an overview of Skagway — past and present. Then, we started our ascent. We had a lot of stops along the way to the Suspension Bridge for the most beautiful views that cannot be seen by train. For almost all the stops, our bus was the only one there so we felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Then we got ~45 mins to spend at the Suspension Bridge. On the way back, we had a few more photo-op stops while Marissa talked about the history of the Klondike Gold Rush and how Skagway played a role in it. Closer to town, she gave great recommendations for what else to do in Skagway, where to eat, drink and shop. Through her personal anecdotes and cheerful demeanor, Marissa really captured the adventurous and enterprising spirit of the Klondike Stampeders. Thank you for making us fall in love with Skagway and the Yukon.
