Discovering Trogir: A Step Back in Time

Our journey began in the enchanting town of Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage site that instantly transported us back to the time of the Venetians, Romans, and Greeks. As a museum curator, I found myself captivated by the intricate architecture and the stories etched into the stone walls of this historic town. Our destination was the charming town of Skradin, where we enjoyed a leisurely lunch and indulged in some delicious ice cream. The town’s relaxed atmosphere was the perfect end to our adventure, and we couldn’t resist a visit to the fort at the top of the town. The view from the fort was spectacular, offering a sweeping panorama of the surrounding landscape.

As we boarded the comfortable, air-conditioned coach back to Split, I reflected on the day’s experiences.
