Always happy! - The batik class was great! I'm not very talented artistically, but ES was very interesting and fun. We were able to participate in the whole process. Our teacher and her aunt were very patient and very friendly. We learned a lot about batik art and much more. ES also had delicious snacks and something to drink. A beautiful experience!

One of my favourites! - We absolutely loved it! If you like creative things, you will absolutely adore this activity. You get to make you own design or if you are less good at that, they have some for you. Than you get to see the whole process, which is soo interesting. They also provide water, tea and some local snacks. I would definitely recommened this activety to anyone who comes to Yogyakarta!!!

Great Batik Class! - 3 of us had a wonderful time at the Batik class. We started with the option of drawing our own design or ones that were already done. Then we used the hot wax and finally the dying process. Our guide Salwa was excellent and very patient and really helped teach us on how to improve! The 3+ hours went by very fast. The hosts' home in the village was very nice and we got to see some of her finished products. Would definitely recommend and a great cultural experience. Thank you Alga Lova Tours.

Perfect class to learn traditional batik - My sister and I loved this class! We were able to create our own design which we sketched onto the fabric, then traced using wax, painted, and removed the wax for our finished piece. It was definitely trickier than we both expected (especially outlining the piece in the wax) but it just showed us how incredible the batik artists truly are, and the amount of work that goes into this gorgeous craft. We were so proud of our finished creations. Thank you so much for teaching us the art of Batik!

Fantastic batik class near Prambanan! Highly recommended - Amazing workshop! The ladies are so nice and they are very helpful with teaching the technique of batik and even though I was not confident with my artistic abilities, I love how my batik piece turned out! There are tasty local snacks and water provided. I was also shown the temple down the road whilst the batik was drying. I then got a Grab to Prambanan temple which was very close to the workshop, and was a good day out in the area. I highly recommend this class!

Batik painting experience by Alga Lova Tour - Amazing hospitality by the hosts and team! Got to experience and learn about the process of batik. The host venue had beautiful works of batik all around and it'll definitely make you appreciate the hard work the craftsmen put into their work. The workshop was led by Salwa and Titik, both who were very encouraging and patient throughout the whole process. I'd highly recommend guests to have a hands-on experience! You don't have to be great at art to attend the workshop - feel free to go in blind with an open mind, the team will lead wonderfully.

Nice workshop with a local - This was a great afternoon activity! The workshop was given by a somewhat older woman who did not speak English, and supervised by a girl who translated everything. There were delicious homemade free snacks, and our wipes turned out beautiful. You will receive them immediately after the workshop.

Batik experience - It was about one hour from my hotel. I hired a private car and driver. The experience was wonderful. The process takes about 3hrs to draw, wax and paint. Then they dried it and soaked into a chemical solution and then in water. When I left it was still wet and place it on newspaper to dry in the car and hotel.
