- Prambanan Temples - Spend 2 hours exploring Prambanan. It is the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia and one of the most stunning temples in Southeast Asia. According to the Siwargha inscription, the temple was built during the reign of Rakai Pikatan (mid-ninth century) of the Ancient Mataram Kingdom. Discover the three temples adorned with reliefs depicting the epic of the Ramayana, dedicated to the three great Hindu deities (Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma), along with three temples dedicated to the animals that serve them.
After learning about the Ramayana story from the reliefs at Prambanan Temple, enjoy a performance that brings these reliefs to life through dance, known as the “Ramayana Ballet Performance.”
- Ramayana Ballet at Prambanan - With the Prambanan temple as a backdrop, the Ramayana Ballet transforms the temple’s reliefs into a captivating dance performance. The story begins in the Dandaka Forest, where Rahwana (a giant) kidnaps Shinta and takes her to Alengka. To rescue Shinta, Rama is aided by Hanoman and the monkey forces, who build a bridge to the kingdom of Alengka. A great battle ensues between the kingdoms of Alengka and Ayodya, with the ape forces fighting the giants defending Alengka, all in the quest to rescue Shinta.
Before watching the Ramayana Ballet, enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant, such as Opak Resto, Abhayagiri Restaurant, or Prambanan Restaurant, depending on seat availability.

Excellent quality tour - Excellent tour
Our guide Maxi was the best. He was fun and knowledgeable and we were treated like VIP. The tour itself was worth the money. We selected a 2 pm start so we had a lot of time to explore Prambanam. We had one of the complex tour guide to visit the Hindu temples, which provided good information. Then we could continue at our own pace with Maxi and visited the 3 others Buddhist temples. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunset. The dinner included was absolutely delicious. The Ramayana ballet was spectacular. We really recommend this tour if you want something of quality and well packaged. Huge thank you to Maxi.

Great tour, very flexible and unique experience - My guide Matteas was great and very flexible. I took a cooking class with the same company (also recommended!) and because I had already been to Prambanan the day before he adjusted and took me instead to Candi Ijo to try to catch the sunset (too cloudy), it is very peaceful high on a hill. After we had a huge dinner near Prambanan. It was raining steadily all evening so the ballet was moved indoors. This made the seating a bit challenging- I was in the second row but had my view quite obstructed by people directly in front of me. The ballet performance itself is mesmerizing- try to get better seats (maybe this is better outdoors). Overall a great experience and friendly guide.

Couldn’t have wished for a better tour! 10/10 would recommend. - Our tour guide Fery was very kind, really passionate in the story telling and helped us with everything!
At the Prambanan temple Fery asked us if we needed a local guide or if his “summary” will do. But boy it wasn’t a summary!! The history and story of the hinduism Fery told us, was really interesting and had us captivated for 2 hours! His english is really good and great to listen to.
I would 100% do this tour again and would recommend it to everyone.

Perfect - What a wonderful day! Our driver went with us but the prambanan. And could tell a lot about that! We also had a free photographer which was very nice! Then got delicious food.
Then a traditional dance for dessert. All in all a top afternoon/evening.

Our trip to Yogyakarta - This tour was a wonderful experience - our driver/ guide ,Maxi, was excellent- very warm and welcoming - he met us at the airport and took us straight to the temple as our flight came in the afternoon. He acted as our guide and was courteous, kind and very informative. We will highly recommend him to anyone visiting Yogyakarta.

10 Star experience - We had an AMAZING experience with this tour and our guide Fery:) It was beyond a 5 star experience by far. Pick up was on time in a spacious van just for us. He provided a personal tour of the temple even though he didn’t have to. We were the ONLY people at a large restaurant and had a great meal with very friendly staff. Then we arrived on time for the Ramayana ballet, which was exquisite. Very professional and safe driving. I would recommend this for anyone wanting a good time and excellent cultural experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Superb Evening. Good Value. Highly Recommended - From start to finish, this was an excellent experience. Amar, our guide, was knowledgeable, informative and personable, with excellent English. He contacted us early to confirm arrangements and pick up point, and was also a proficient and safe driver. The vehicle was comfortable, a/c and the seatbelts worked great.
His organisation skills ensured everything ran smoothly on the day. During our visit to Prambanan Temple, he used the wall carvings to brief us on the Ramayana story, so we were well-informed before the show began. Dinner, provided by a local restaurant, was excellent in every way. The food (soup, spring rolls, tempeh/tofu, roasted fish, vegetables, rice, fried noodles, coffee and desert) was flavourful and very well-cooked, with generous portions. Service could not have been more professional. And the ballet, set in front of the temple, was amazing. Small screens on either side of the stage give a short explanation of the action, to help understanding. It was excellent value for money. Top tips: try to get seats in the middle section of the open-air theatre. It’s about a 2-hour show and the Class 1 and free seats are concrete, so pay a little bit extra to rent 2 cushions: one for your seat and the other for your back.
