Situated northwest of Valletta, it overlooks Marsamxett Harbour and the anchorage at Sliema Creek. The fort is a fine example of Baroque architecture, designed to blend functionality with aesthetic appeal.
- Fort St Elmo - Fort Saint Elmo (Maltese: Forti Sant’Iermu) is a star fort situated in Valletta, Malta. It is positioned on the seaward side of the Sciberras Peninsula, which separates Marsamxett Harbour from Grand Harbour, and oversees the entrances to both harbours alongside Fort Tigné and Fort Ricasoli. The fort is renowned for its significant role in the Great Siege of Malta in 1565.
- Valletta - Valletta, the capital city of Malta, is celebrated for its impressive fortifications, including bastions, curtains, and cavaliers, as well as the elegance of its Baroque palaces, gardens, and churches. Visiting the capital is essential, and experiencing the city from the sea on a fully air-conditioned catamaran with live commentary is highly recommended.
- Fort St Angelo - Fort St. Angelo is a bastioned fort located in Birgu, Malta, at the heart of the Grand Harbour. Originally built as a medieval castle known as the Castrum Maris, it was transformed into a bastioned fort by the Order of Saint John between the 1530s and 1560s, serving as the Order’s headquarters during the Great Siege of Malta in 1565. A major reconstruction led by Carlos de Grunenbergh in the 1690s gave the fort its current form. Enjoy the stunning views of Fort St Angelo from our fully air-conditioned catamaran with live commentary.
- Esplora Interactive Science Centre - The Esplora Interactive Science Centre at Bighi is Malta’s newest attraction, officially opened on October 28, 2016. - Three Cities - Vittoriosa, Senglea, and Cospicua, collectively known as the Three Cities of Malta, are historical treasures preserved over centuries, withstanding the test of time. These fortified cities resemble a trio of villages in the heart of Malta’s historic center, directly across the Grand Harbour from Valletta. Experience the charm of the Three Cities aboard our fully air-conditioned catamarans with live commentary.
- Grand Harbour - The entrance of the harbour faces northeast, bordered to the north by Saint Elmo Point and further protected by an isolated breakwater, while the southern boundary is marked by Ricasoli Point. The northwest shore is formed by the Sciberras Peninsula, largely occupied by the city of Valletta and its suburb Floriana. This peninsula also separates Grand Harbour from the parallel natural Marsamxett Harbour. The main waterway of Grand Harbour extends inland almost to Marsa. The southeastern shore features several inlets and headlands, including Rinella Creek, Kalkara Creek, Dockyard Creek, and French Creek, which are encompassed by Kalkara and the Three Cities: Cospicua, Vittoriosa, and Senglea. The harbour is often regarded as Malta’s most significant geographic asset.
