Created by engineer Ferdinand Porsche just prior to starting his own venture, the Mercedes SSK Roadster was built between 1928 and 1932. The moniker ‘SSK’ stands for Super Sport Kurz, which translates to ‘Super Sport Short’ attributed to its short wheelbase.
The SSK is deemed as one of the most prestigious sports car of its era. Weighing 2200 kg with a capacity to hit 210 kilometers per hour in a brisk 14 seconds, it houses a potent 225 hp engine and a 4-speed transmission. Only 38 such remarkable cars exist in the world.
