- Carrer d’Ozones, 8 - Visitors are invited to explore the 400-year-old historic Can Det house, featuring its magnificent garden and the traditional oil mill that maintains the age-old oil production methods. Following the tour, guests can enjoy a tasting of our oil, accompanied by other local delicacies and freshly squeezed orange juice in our dining room. The tasting includes typical Mallorcan bread, “ramallet” tomatoes, olives, almonds, orange jam, and more. We will provide a detailed explanation of the family’s involvement in the traditional cultivation of ancient olive trees, citrus fruits, and oil production. Additionally, an audiovisual presentation of the oil production process will be shown. From October to January, visitors may have the opportunity to witness live oil production, depending on olive availability. Please note, the visit does not include our orange and/or olive tree plantations. For an additional tour of these areas, please contact us in advance for arrangements and pricing information.

You can come walking from the center of Sóller. It is a 10 minutes walk from train station or town hall. If you contact us in advance we can send you the location. We strongly recommend to come on time because some days Soller might be with traffic jams and also you need time to find parking.

Olive tour of small local business - We had a wonderful experience at Can-Det Olive Oil Factory. Tomeu was very kind and accommodated our last minute reservation as we didn’t think to do an olive tour until the day before we left Mallorca. We loved the tour because it’s a small family business who still does things the old fashion way. We learned a lot about olives and olive oil production. At the end we got to do a fun tasting of local delicacies. We would highly recommend this special tour!

Amazing experience in Soller! - My daughters and I had an incredible experience today visiting C’an Det. Ann was an incredible guide, giving us the historical background of the home and teaching us the process of producing their amazing olive oil. If you are visiting Soller this is a must see. Ask for Ann is a world of knowledge.

A Flavorful Journey Through Mallorca’s Olive Oil Heritage - While I’ve never been to an olive oil tasting before, this certainly won’t be my last — I absolutely loved this experience!
I stayed in Palma, and it’s worth noting that the location is about a 45-minute drive away. Be sure to factor that in if you’re coming from Palma. That said, the drive itself was incredibly picturesque and serene, offering a beautiful glimpse into a more traditional Spanish town.
The tour was led by a knowledgeable guide who is part of the family that owns and operates the olive oil business. This family has been producing olive oil for generations, and the tour takes place at their stunning, 400-year-old home where the olive oil is still made today.
I appreciated that the tour lasted just about an hour — the perfect amount of time to be both informative and engaging without dragging on. Although I didn’t visit during the growing season (June–October) or the harvest (October–December), the guide gave us a clear and engaging overview of the process.
The experience concluded with a tasting that was nothing short of incredible: fresh cheeses, homemade bread, marmalade, locally sourced meats, fresh-squeezed orange juice from the family’s trees, wine — and of course, their delicious olives and olive oil. We even learned how locals traditionally enjoy their olive oil, and it was amazing.
To top it all off, I was able to purchase several bottles of their olive oil to take home. It’s not sold in stores — only directly from the family home — which made it feel even more special.
Overall, this was a truly unique and memorable experience. If you’re in Mallorca, this is an absolute must!

Amazing tour and tasting! - This tasting tour was the highlight of our trip! The tour was outstanding and so very interesting. We enjoyed a delicious tasting at lunch with our host and others on the tour. The home was exquisite with many historical details. I highly recommend the tour for anyone visiting Mallorca!

Fantastic - The host, tour, and tasting session were fantastic! Must do when visiting Soller.

Very interesting, would book it again. - A lovely tour, very interesting. Based on what we read in the description we did get the impression it would just be our group but it was a combined tour. I still highly recommend the tour.
