Foot in the sand, but no chair.... - We have already had experiences in other resorts in the Vila Galé network, and in Guarajuba we have been twice: one in the low season and another in the high season. They are completely different experiences. I'll stick to the last, in the high season. The feeling was to be in an environment that, despite the wide space, ends up transmitting some suffocation. Being a foot-on-the-sand resort, we expected a more structured beachfront service. However, everything seems to direct guests to stay close to the pools or even the reception. There is virtually no beach service: very few and rare chairs, always contested, and no attendant available to assist or provide information. For any need, it is necessary to resort to the pool area, where waiters or even maintenance employees end up improvising the role of concierge. In a resort, it is not exaggerated to expect professional service outside the reception, especially in hotel services and basic support. The pools are pleasant and the service is cordial, although restricted to the specific functions of the staff. Already in the Kids area, this time the NEP space did not meet expectations. On other occasions it was fun and lively, but now it has been short of promised. The structure is ideal for young children (up to 6 years old), but as the proposal is to meet up to 12 years old, it would be important to offer activities differentiated by age group. Our 9-year-old daughter found no options that aroused interest or expectation. As for the rooms, we noticed some carelessness: the bed was broken and repaired, no possibility of exchange due to the high season. The space is good and the proper cleaning, but there are already clear signs of maintenance need. At the reception, everyone was very cordial and friendly, conveying the expected pattern of a resort. The food, even with the high season rush, retained good quality and abundance. We chose to try only one themed restaurant, as we liked the buffet more, but we recognize that each experience is unique and worth living. The drinks are always available and of good quality. The ice cream, highlighted for the casquinha, quickly ends up and we only found one point of attention. Overall, the resort needs more careful maintenance and attention, plus greater control over the number of guests — fewer people would mean more quality, or at least maintenance of the standard offered in the low season. Beach service in particular needs to be reviewed urgently. To get an idea, there are tents near the resort that offer chairs to rent, which is a real absurdity in a hotel foot in the sand.
