Fantastic tour guide - We did three x1 day tours with Sipson’s company, one to the north, one south and one central. Two were with Sipson himself and one with one of his team. They were all private tours and very reasonably priced, although tickets and meals were all extra. Sipson showed us all the main highlights, was there to answer any questions, even not during the tours, and made some great recommendations for hotels and dinner.
The south tour included a boat trip to the equator, and the central tour included a guided 3 hour hike through the rainforest.

The land time forgot - I have just spent a fantastic 9 days in Sao Tome , 2 of those with Sipson as my guide. We covered both north and south plus the equator , creating experiences of a lifetime. English is an issue here , so to have a guide who not only spoke but understood English was great. He is very knowledgeable about his island and its history, I would highly recommend him to anyone. Also the beauty of it all he went at my pace , if I wanted longer or shorter time anywhere that’s what happened. Thanks Sipson, definitely number one guide on Sao tome

All-round perfect tour - I spent 2 days exploring the south of São Tomé with Sipson. It was fantastic! Sipson has responded to all my wishes and we had a fantastic time. He has also given good hotel recommendations and very helpful in a small emergency. Sipson is smart, friendly and very knowledgeable. Everyone on the island knows him, which is very helpful. Thanks again for a great time! Little note: I had first thought about exploring the island alone with the rental car, but was then glad not to have done it, as the roads in the south are really very bad!

Amazing trip on são tomé - My trip in São Tomé was amazing. Sipson was my tour guide. He is very knowledgeable, patience and very kind. We went on many sight seeeing and I was able to see the whole island showed island thanks to him.
I recommend visiting São Tomé and choosing Sipson as your guide.

The tiny African country you should not miss - Sao Tome was always on my bucket list and thanks to Sipson Tours I was able to get a great perspective and tour of the island. Sipson was very knowledgeable about his country, was a perfectly pleasant guide, prompt and engaging. I learned and saw a lot. For those who plan to go understand that it is not necessarily the destinations on the tours, but getting to them. The drives in all directions are beautiful, sometimes bumpy, but gorgeous scenery and great glimpses of the towns, beaches and mountains. Make sure you visit the suggested lunch stops on both the north and south tour. Beautiful spots and great food. There are very few English guides, so grab Sipson's services when you can. The country is going to be a growing tourist destination for sure... go now before everyone gets there. It does need some infrastructure improvements but I am sure they will come.

A pleasant day in Sao Tomé - Our tour began as a private tour, which was quite nice. Our guide was pleasant and polite. An hour into the excursion we encountered another car from the company that had broken down, and agreed to accommodate the two passengers from that vehicle. A half hour later, on deplorable roads, we blew a tire. Our driver changed the tire and we were able to continue. He was always thoughtful and resourceful, and endeavored to deliver a high quality experience.
Because of the limited time in port, and the ship's inefficient tendering process, we knew in advance that we would not be able to complete all the items on the itinerary and would be left wanting to see more. Sao Tomé is a lovely place, and what we saw was informative, and enjoyable. The beaches, mountain peaks, and the roça were all interesting and worthwhile.

Nice way to see a beautiful island - We arrived via cruise ship. We were met at the port as agreed. Prior to arrival, my texts on WhatsApp were answered quickly. Our guide spoke good English and gave lots of information. There were four of us in a small car, not a 4x4 as described on the website so that was uncomfortable. We did most things as described except seeing the waterfall or the boat ride to see the monkeys. The island is beautiful and worth seeing!

Disappointed, 3 stars not 5 ! - Our tour with Sipson was booked months ahead. We were on a cruise ship stop. He was supposed to provide a vehicle with air conditioning , it took 3 tries but he did finally get one. Unfortunately the guide he provided, a young man, did not explain where we were going, what we were seeing, the history and significance of it etc. so many places we visited we had no information on. He did try to respond when asked directly but it was difficult to hear and understand him. I do not blame the guide, it was up to the tour operator to train him first. Also I think the operator booked more tours than he could handle and so the quality to us suffered. We were disappointed because we expected a 5 star experience.
