Do it in cooler weather! - Plovdiv is absolutely stunning! Our tour guide, Tuni, was fantastic - he really went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable. He managed the pace perfectly, including bathroom breaks, and did a brilliant job of showing us all the amazing sights and sharing the city's rich history. He even gave us some great lunch recommendations! We had a small group, which made the whole experience really nice and personal. The only suggestion l'd offer is to try and go when the weather's a bit cooler. Honestly, it was scorching hot while we were there - so hot that it was hard to fully appreciate how beautiful Plovdiv is when you're hot drenched in sweat! Just a heads-up: like most walking tours, there's a fair bit of walking on uneven and sometimes steep paths. Definitely wear comfortable shoes and light, breathable clothing (linen's a great choice!), hat, sunnies, sunscreen plus an umbrella. Oh water as well! Even with that, the heat was intense! FYI-We were on a small van- even with the air conditioning on, it was very warm for everyone on the way back home.

Long but informative - A long but informative tour to Plovdiv. The tour leader was both guide and excellent driver. We saw both old and new parts of Plovdiv on a very very hot day but Tumi kept us moving through this fascinating city. A great day!

Day trip to Plovdiv - Great day exploring Plovdiv! Beautiful architecture and a different vibe to Sofia. My other tour from a different company was cancelled at the last minute and City Tours was able to save my trip. Tuni is a great guide, taking us around the main sites as well as sharing stories, giving local suggestions and even dropping us at the hotel at the end of the day. Thank you!

Wonderful experience - Wonderful experience and very beautiful city! Everything was very good organized, our guide from Sofia, Simeon, was ready to explain us everything and to tell us amazing stories. Also Raliza, who accompanied us in Plovdiv, told us the story of the city in a very professional and friendly way! Best way to visit the town and learn more about its history!

Plovdiv tour - Nice tour, but the company should give us the itinerary at the beginning of the tour. They gave us water in the other tour, not in this one. Simon was a good guide

Good Tour, But Poor Logistics and Communication - A good tour in general with a nice comfortable bus ride to and from Plovdiv. Good guides when we arrived in the town, plus 2 hours of free time. Decent price. The only negative was the text we received the day before telling us to arrive no later than 8:35, but the tour was scheduled for a 9am departure. The description should tell everyone up front to arrive at 8:35 instead of the sharp text. Also, our bus left Plovdiv 5 minutes early and 2 people were left behind. Then we had to stop on the freeway and wait 30 minutes for them to arrive. Everyone on the bus was upset. Poor organization.
