• Boyana Church - The journey begins at 10 am with a private car picking you up from your hotel or address in Sofia. The first stop is the Boyana Church, located at the base of Vitosha Mountain. This church is renowned for its 13th-century frescoes, which are exceptionally unique and beautifully preserved.

The church is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Due to its small size, the interior visit is limited to 10 minutes.

• Rila Monastery - Following the visit and guided tour of the church, the next destination is the Rila Monastery. Founded in the 10th century by the Bulgarian Saint John of Rila, known as the miracle worker, it is the largest and most stunning Bulgarian monastery. The current monastery complex, adorned with magnificent frescoes, was constructed in the 19th century. Access to the courtyard and church is free.

Upon arrival, there will be a one-hour guided tour, which includes the history museum and an authentic 19th-century monk’s room.

Afterwards, there will be an hour of free time to take photographs and explore the souvenir shops.

Following this, there is an opportunity for a lunch break at one of the nearby restaurants along the scenic road (lunch is not included in the price). Alternatively, a light lunch can be enjoyed at the bakery next to the monastery.

Departure is scheduled for 3:30 pm, with an expected return to Sofia by approximately 5:30 pm.
