• Seven Rila Lakes - The journey begins with a van ride to Rila National Park, taking approximately 2 hours. The trek starts at an altitude of 1800 meters and concludes at 2500 meters at the final lake, known as “The Tear.” From this vantage point, all seven lakes are visible!

Visitors will walk through Rila National Park to admire the pristine lakes. Most of these lakes are glacial, with names reflecting their shapes. Enjoy panoramic views of the Vitosha, Rila, and Stara Planina mountains.

• Rila National Park - Established in 1992 to preserve several nationally significant ecosystems, the park’s altitude ranges from 800 meters (2,600 feet) to 2,925 meters. Forests cover 534.81 km² or 66% of the total area. The park is home to approximately 1,400 species of vascular plants, 282 species of mosses, and 130 species of freshwater algae. The fauna includes 48 species of mammals, 99 species of birds, 20 species of reptiles and amphibians, and 5 species of fish, along with 2,934 species of invertebrates, 282 of which are endemic.
