Great overview of... - Great overview of Bulgarian food! We were taken to a variety of places for some bites and he did a good job of pointing out important sites on the way. Glad I booked this!

Happy and full bellies! - My husband and I had a nice food and culture tour with Peter. We appreciated Peter took us to small local establishments that gave us a true taste of local dishes. He customized the food selections to our preferences and interests. We also appreciated he still did the tour even though it was only my husband and myself. He said the tour would be shorter because it was only the three of us, but his engaging conversation gave us a tour that lasted 3 hours. This tour is best for those who want to really experience Bulgarian food and drink.

Great food and a history lesson of Bulgaria - Very much enjoyed this food and history tour. Peter is an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Sofia and local food and culture. There are five food stops that also include adult beverages if you desire. Also included is a transit day pass that we were able to use after the tour. All of the food was delicious and we learned a lot about the history of Sofia and Bulgaria. An added bonus is learning how to use the public transit system, which made our stay so much more enjoyable. We had great conversations with Peter and the other guests. This is truly a memorable experience.

Highly recommend! - What an experience! Turns out I was the only one signed up for this tour and luckily Peter didn't cancel on me! We ended up doing a totally custom tour and it was so much fun! The food was great, we were able to go to a food event in the city with locals, went to a cocktail bar, tried raki and rode different trams around while Peter explained much about the city, it's history, etc. It was a really awesome day!

Great tour Peter!! - We thought Peter did a fantastic job of finding one of a kind food establishments in different neighborhoods, that served traditional delicious food. For instance... An alley cafe was our last stop and the owners mother made the charcuterie meats and the perfect ( don't know the name) phyllo dough round with pumpkin and cinnamon. Perfect! Unique establishments highlighting small business owners creating an eating experience!

Sunday Solo Traveler - Peter is super nice and very knowledgeable, and I really appreciated that he still continued the tour even though I was the only traveller - thank you Peter xx Being a real ‘foody’ I was so excited, but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed, as I was really looking forward to a proper Bulgarian food experience. It felt a little rushed, with no slow-cooked traditional dishes or historical Bulgarian dive spots, except for the crafty little beer bar and Maya ‘the rakia lady’, which were definitely the highlight. For me the experience didn't match the price or the time involved, and I couldn’t help feeling it was a bit of a waste for both Peter and myself. I would recommend this tour for groups, but solo travellers should perhaps be told in advance and given the option to join when other travellers are booked. Wish you all the best Peter!
