The best of the best! - Emad and Omar were the best of the best! I’m from Florida in America and they accommodated in every way! I could tell the other tour guys knew exactly who our guide was. He knew so much about history he was great if I ever come back he will be who I call!

Off the beaten path - These two temples are absolutely amazing and by far my favorite. While it is a trek to get there it’s totally worth the drive. Amira George was great and she guided me through the histories of the sites with ease. The cute little lunch spot was traditional and the food was delicious. Our driver Salah Ahmed transported us with precision and care.

Very enjoyable and informative day out - Excellent day out. Good communication before trip to confirm details. My guide Sayed and driver Omar arrived on time in clean modern car. Sayed had excellent knowledge and English and went into all the detail I wanted. Trip didn’t feel rushed with just the right time at both temples, including free time and stops for photos. I paid for both the crypt and roof at Dendara which I recommend.

Fabulous day with Mena - Had a really amazing day with Mena who took us to Dendara for the day. Dendara is about a 90 minute drive from Luxor and totally worth it. No crowds , serene, pristine with a fabulous temple and loads to see. Mena was a great guide, fun to be with , extremely knowledgeable and we would highly recommend him!

Abydos temple is one of the best with my Guide Sayed Gamal - Abydos Temple One of the Best Temple in Egypt I Can say this is the Temple of Energy and power Sayed Gamal he did his Job he knows the history i definitiy recommend

Excellent Day Tour - We really enjoyed our tour to Abydos with Mena. The temple of Seti I is fascinating and seeing the Shunet el Zebib was amazing - a highlight of the trip. Looking forward to our next trip with Mena!

Our guide. Sayeed gamal made the day exceptional! - We had a wonderful day! Sayed Gamal was our guide. We have had 5 guides for different tours in Egypt and he was by far the best. His vast knowledge encompasses not just the overalll history of the sights but the details of what we are looking at in the paintings. He had a lovely speaking style paced well and engaging. It’s clear he loves what he does. I only wish we had met him. Earlier and had been able to have him for other sights.

Great trip to Dendera - We went on a short trip from Luxor to Dendera (though not to Abydos) and it was amazing. The drive there with our driver Ramez went swimmingly both ways and our tour with our guide Bahaa was very interesting. The Hathor temple of Dendera is great in and of itself but with a guide to tell you the story about the place and where you need to be and look it only gets better!

An unexpected visit - We had originally not planned to go to Dendara but our guide Bahaa suggested the trip to us and it was magnificent. Driver Ramez got us there and back again in a comfortable drive

Solo review - On January 30, 2026, I took a private day tour from Luxor to Dendara and Abydos temples with an English-speaking guide. The guide spent much of the drive to Dendara talking with the driver in Arabic. At Dendara the guide tried to up sell extra tours, which I declined. The guided tour portion was brief, but I was able to explore the temple independently, with a tourist police office later showing me highlights the guide missed. The guide suggested skipping Abydos do to its distance, but I insisted on visiting as planned. I sincerely appreciated having a box lunch that the Nile cruise staff had prepared for me. The tour at Abydos was similar to Dendara.
