Pass by the red and white springs, and on the return to town, walk along the abbey wall for a glimpse of the ruins.
This experience encompasses nature, culture, history, heritage, and an introduction to the main tourist attractions.
- White Spring Well & Temple - As you descend from the Tor, make a brief stop at the red and white springs. Here, take the time to drink from the healing waters and visit the White Spring, if open (after 1:30 pm). You’ll also pass the entrance to the Chalice Well Gardens, a recommended attraction to explore at your leisure, though not included in the Tor tour.
- Glastonbury Tor - For a complete Glastonbury experience, climbing the Tor is highly recommended. At the top, Matt shares the Tor’s history, highlights local landmarks, reflects on the views and paths traveled, and provides a guided tour of Avalon’s distant horizons.
- Chalice Well - Discover the entrance to the Chalice Well Gardens, though entry is not included, as visitors may wish to explore this attraction independently.

You will learn about local tourist attractions and activities, discover idyllic spots off the beaten track, and Matt will take you to meet some of the oldest and largest trees in the area.
The walk is accompanied by readings of seasonal nature poetry and a short acoustic performance of gentle folk music. A Tor climb can be included - a great way to finish the walk by peering down upon the routes we have just traversed.
