• Lake Balaton - Experience the breathtaking view of Lake Balaton. October is the perfect time to visit, as the lake is adorned with stunning autumn colors, especially on sunny days. Visitors have the option to take a dip in the lake on the way back home, or even enjoy a swim. This will add at least 30 minutes to the trip, depending on how much time is spent there. There is no extra charge for this time, but it is additional to the planned 5-hour itinerary.

• Tihany - The Tihanyi Peninsula, known as the pearl of Balaton, is a must-see. Its unique landscape, geological features, and rich biodiversity made it the country’s first nature protection area. A church and monastery were established on one of its hills nearly 1,000 years ago. In Tihany, visitors can explore this charming and renowned little town on the peninsula. Stroll through the streets of Hungary’s most beautiful village and sample the region’s famous lavender products, such as lavender beer, lemonade, and ice cream. This peaceful, quaint village is truly indescribable.

• Bences Apatsag - A baroque church and monastery founded nearly 1,000 years ago (just 22 years shy). Visitors have the option to enter the building and explore.

• Szantod-Tihany Ferry - The journey to Lake Balaton takes about 90 minutes, depending on the starting location in Budapest. The ferry ride from the southern shore to the northern shore is part of the trip, and will be taken on the return journey as well.

• Echo Étterem - Lunch is an optional addition to the itinerary. This is also beyond the planned 5-hour schedule. It takes about 20 minutes to receive the food, plus additional time for dining and settling the bill.
