Fun catamaran day - Connnecting with the driver was rough. He had a wrong name on the board, and not wearing the described clothes. The boat was huge for our small group, and the crew was great. Drinks and food tasty. We’d do it again.

We had - We had such an incredible time on this private catamaran adventure! The crew was fantastic, making sure we had everything we needed, and the snorkeling was beautiful. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Puerto Plata – it’s the perfect way to spend the day!

If you - If you're looking for a mix of relaxation and adventure, this is the perfect excursion. The catamaran was spacious, the crew was super attentive, and the snorkeling spot was full of marine life. We loved floating in the natural pool while sipping mojitos—such a dream! Would definitely do it again.

Scary for many reasons, but it turned out great. - I rarely write reviews, but if you are coming into Amber Cove, you need to read this...
- Wrong port pickup, despite multiple communications. It is also important to note that this requires a 50 minute ride through numerous towns.
- Driver did not match, and showed up with someone else looking for money (we actually thought we were being kidnapped for about 30 minutes because no one answered at Next Experience)
- Boat did not match picture, not even close for Sosua
- Boat had one engine (out of 2), did not start for more than 20 minutes and was questionable each time
- The helm of the boat had a permanent bottle of fluid dumping into it to enable the boat to turn
- Water system did not work on the boat, toilets didnt flush, slide did not have water, and a bucket was used to enable use of the slide.
- Food, Alcohol did not match booking (no vodka, no fanta, no nachos, etc)
- No guide in the water
- Forced to walk back through vendor village where they wanted to sell items to us
- Pushed Hooka on us, terrible, and the vendor smoked it more than us, all without communicating the $60 charge that wasnt communicated until we got off the boat.
- After all of that... We had a made the best of this and had a great time, rescuing this review to a 2 star. The water and beach were beautiful. Grilled food consisted of chicken, pork, and hotdogs (all of which were good at the time, but resulted in severe intestinal issues the next day). Fresh fruit was nice. Open bar only consisted of rum, coke, sprite, and water
Not a reflection of this experience, but where we were dropped off at Amber Cove, the taxi stand workers demanded money from us for walking through their area. They started at $40, then moved to $3 per person (8 in our party). They called their boss over, which I had to cuss out in Spanish and told him to get out of my face.

Unprofessional and not Accommodating - I do not recommend booking your Boating experience with this group.
I booked this reservation in April. I reached out to confirm we were all set for a July 12th booking on July 8th. I got verbal confirmation from the team that we were good to go and then 2 hours later they sent me a message saying it was cancelled because they “double booked”.
I called Amanda and she was no help. She was not apologetic about almost ruining our trip. The only accommodation they offered was to change the day.. on a planned vacation.
Plenty of alternate options to book your boat trip in Puerto Plata. You can skip past this post and find someone else to book with. They are a middle man business anyway and probably find vendors to work directly with anyway
