Quin was an amazing tour... - Quin was an amazing tour guide for this excursion. He asked us what we wanted to experience and curated the perfect day for us. We got to visit multiple water falls, the sulfur springs, and learn about the beautiful fishing town of Soufriere. We had an amazing time and woukd highly recommend their services. Thank you very kindly!

A wonderful experience!... - A wonderful experience! Dora reached out the day before to understand what we were looking for in our private tour. We chose to see the north end on the island. Sherwin did our tour and was fabulous. He gave us information about all the sites we saw, was an expert photographer and worked hard to ensure we had the perfect tour for our family. Highly recommend, a great way to tour the island at your own pace.

Highly recommend booking them!! - So I just got back home from my trip and I wanted to take a moment to share how great it was working with Nio and her amazing team on drivers!!! We were a group of 5 total and stayed in Saint Lucia for 7 days total. We pretty much stayed in Hotel Chocolat & Royalton and played mas for Carnival so our drives were plentiful!! During carnival especially traffic is high bout her and her drivers (shout out to Nico) were professional, great communicators and prompt in getting us where we needed to be for tours, fetes and carnival Monday & Tuesday!! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable of back roads to avoid traffic! And very patient with us and our complicated hotel Royalton (don’t recommend). Shes fair, so genuinely friendly and reasonable. She doesn’t try to take advantage of you or your budget because you’re a tourist. I highly recommend and will definitely use her again!!!

Exploring with Lucian Explora - My husband, children, and I loved our tours with Lucian Explora! We did a horseback on the beach tour, an ATV tour, and a private east coast tour. Naomi is very sweet, and only works with like-minded individuals. Everyone we met through Lucian Explora was kind and knowledgeable, and made sure our tours were well-paced and we were able to view many areas.

An unforgettable experience! - We booked our tour through Lucian Explora, and it was hands-down the highlight of our trip. From start to finish, they were extremely flexible and made everything feel seamless. Naomi was absolutely incredible to work with and made sure we saw the very best of St. Lucia. Our guide took us all around Soufrière, and it’s hard to put into words how breathtaking it was. He knew all the best spots for photos and brought us to some amazing local food places that we never would have found on our own. We left with not only incredible pictures but also unforgettable memories. Even though we stayed at a beautiful resort, getting out into the town and exploring Soufrière with such a knowledgeable, friendly guide made the trip truly special. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we owe that to this tour company. If you’re visiting St. Lucia, don’t miss the chance to book with Naomi. You’ll see the island in a way you’ll never forget!

Fantastic Experience - Highly Recommend - Jozet (Tour Guide Host) and Richie (Driver) provided an exceptional private tour experience. They were both very friendly, personable and knowledgeable sharing lots of information about the island. Jozet had great recommendations regarding what to do that aligned with our interests and provided a lot of flexibility. The vehicle was very spacious and clean as well. I would highly recommend.

Excellent flexible tour of St. Lucia. - An excellent day with our tour guide Calixte. As a fully flexible tour we were able to choose our itinerary to suit our needs Calixte was very knowledgeable and also very personable, ensuring we had an enjoyable and informative day. Some of the view points, particularly of the coastline are stunning, and we really enjoyed the botanical gardens. Local villages that we drove through gave a flavour of the real St. Lucia, which we prefer to the typical tourist areas. Thank you Calixte for a marvellous day. One item we would point out towards the tour operator (and not the guide) is that the rum distillery, chocolate factory and bread factory were all closed on a Saturday. This did not affect us too much (we were interested in seeing the distillery but not the other two places) the tour details should be clearer on this point. This is why we give the tour 4 star and not 5 star. Overall an excellent experience.

Experience was more of a... - Experience was more of a taxi service than a tour. While our guide was a nice guy, he didn’t really have any knowledge of the places we were going, only to know how to get there. For example, when visiting the Botanical Gardens, our driver simply followed us around silently. The website does say that you do pay for anything additional, however most of the locations are listed as free admission, however my partner and I ended up spending an additional $175 USD accumulated at each location. Lunch was also not included and was $20/person. While the taxi service was a fair price to get us around the island, the additional charges to each stop should be communicated in the description on the website, as well as it clearly indicating that it is a taxi service than a tour. Given this, it is a flexible option to those looking to see multiple different things on their own schedule based on what they want to see, just prepare for the additional costs that come with it.

Inexplicably Inadequate - It was clear that something wasn’t right as soon as we met our assigned guide. Unlike all the other tour companies we engaged on our Caribbean odyssey, she was not wearing any tour company branding or lanyard id testifying to her guiding credentials; she didn’t introduce us to the driver and didn’t have any bottled water on board. Despite an extensive exchange of messages with the company boss 10 days before the tour, it was clear that she hadn’t been briefed that we had asked to be taken directly to Soufriere and to discuss our return stops when we had completed the Tet Paul Trail. As we set off on our 50 minute journey, her complete silence until we came within sight of the Pitons confirmed conclusively that whatever services she was there to provide, commentary on the history, culture and nature of St Lucia was not going to feature much. For most of the journey, she was either checking her phone or using selfie-mode to check her hair. When words were eventually uttered, they were to recite what sounded like the opening paragraph of the respective Wikipedia entry. Needless to say, we sailed by several places en route which would have offered great photo opportunities and which any experienced guide would have suggested for a quick stop. During the course of our Tet Paul walk, the affable trail guide happened to mention his age which prompted our ‘guide’ to reveal she was, in fact, just 19. At that point we realised the problem wasn’t so much a lack of professionalism rather a profound lack of experience and knowledge. Whilst she was, for the most part, sociable and capable of responding with revealing answers to questions put by us on topics such as the creole language or St Lucian culture, her repeated retort that places such as Soufriere, the Botanic Garden or Anse La Raye were not worth spending time in demonstrated that she simply didn’t understand what interests tourists. We suggested we find somewhere to get a snack in Soufriere but she put effort only into getting something for herself in the supermarket and we went without until a local offered us some lobster legs to munch. We got the distinct impression that her main imperative was to get back to Castries as quickly as possible. Back in Castries, our guide had nothing to say about the beautiful Basilica and just trailed silently behind us in the market when she could have pointed out the foods and crafts that revealed something about her country. All told, this tour felt less like a professional package of tourist services than an overpriced taxi from A to B and back with a companion thrown in, something we could have organised ourselves on the ground for half the price and far less disappointment. We don’t doubt that the guide did the job to the best of her abilities and understanding of what was expected. The fault lies with Lucian Explora for setting her up for failure and assuming we would accept such a sub-standard experience without recording a detailed account to warn others not to make the same mistake as us.
