Trail Starting Point to Alue Raya

Alue Raya, Kawasan Ekosistem Leuser - On the first day, visitors embark on a trekking tour with a forest guide from the basecamp to the Alue Raya meeting point, lasting 2-3 hours. Each route is expertly guided by the forest guide. From the initial starting point, travelers will traverse a clear watershed with moss-covered rocks and a waterfall spot, perfect for refreshing, refilling water bottles, and capturing photos. The journey continues through local residents’ gardens, leading into the tropical rainforest atmosphere of the Leuser Ecosystem. Visitors can directly observe the diverse endemic biodiversity of Leuser, including wild plant and animal life. Among these are sustainable forest corridor land cover, flocks of birds, and various primates. With some luck, Sumatran orangutans may also be spotted. The trek concludes at the Alue Raya peak savanna landscape, where visitors will rest overnight.

Alue Raya Jungle Trekking to Explore the Leuser Rainforest

Alue Raya, Kawasan Ekosistem Leuser - On the second day, after breakfast, visitors continue their trekking tour to explore more breathtaking and challenging corners of the Leuser forest. They will be immersed in a dense forest atmosphere with increasingly thick corridor land cover. Along each trekking route, visitors are likely to encounter meeting points where the clear Leuser forest river flows. The forest guide will assist in catching fish or river shrimp in an eco-friendly manner for lunch provisions. Visitors are encouraged to document their journey, with assistance from their forest guide. Lunch will be enjoyed on the riverbank, offering a serene and beautiful forest view. Before the afternoon ends, visitors will continue trekking until reaching Jejak Rimba Raya Camp, where they will rest for the night.

Gunung Leuser National Park - On the third day, visitors are invited to embark on an adventure along a long, clear river flowing through the Leuser Ecosystem Area, using a local canoe or wooden boat for a 2-3 hour journey. Throughout the trip, visitors will enjoy panoramic views of another stunning corner of the Leuser Ecosystem from the wooden boat. Prepare to be amazed by the wonders of the tropical rainforest, which visitors can experience and witness firsthand.
