Caves worth a visit but some issue with this tour - This tour essentially visits two places, the caves and the Maropeng visitors centre. The tour guide at the caves was excellent and the visit was very enjoyable. However although a guide gave a short intro at the Maropeng centre we were then left on our own.
This tour is also quite expensive for what you get - we calculated that taking Ubers and paying the entry would be about half the price.
Also the driver really did not much other than drive the car - no commentary or guiding of any kind. On the way back he seemed to think he was in an F1 race, regularly touching 140km/h and driving inches away from the vehicle in front. Not ideal.
So while both these locations are worth a visit, it’s probably worth looking at other options than this tour.
