Day 1 – Travel from Johannesburg to Madikwe Game Reserve

Madikwe Game Reserve - Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the friendly staff at your luxurious pre-booked accommodation. After a long drive, you can unwind by the pool and enjoy the serene wilderness while waiting for your afternoon safari.

Afternoon 3-hour safari
At around 16:30 p.m., following high tea, we will embark on our afternoon safari in an open safari vehicle, led by qualified rangers in open-land cruisers. This will provide you with the best sunset views unique to Madikwe Game Reserve. We will visit various waterholes frequented by animals in the evening, ensuring we won’t miss any wildlife. Later, we will return to our accommodation and enjoy dinner under the African sky.

Day 2 – Morning & Afternoon safari

Pick up time: 05:00 am
We will rise at dawn and embark on an exciting adventure in search of Africa’s Big Five and other wildlife, including cheetahs, spotted hyenas, and African wild dogs. The sunrise, with its soft light over the horizon, will provide the perfect setting for capturing stunning photos. After an incredible morning, we will return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast or brunch, followed by some relaxation time by the pool or exploring the lodge’s amenities.

Afternoon 3-hour safari
You will explore the wilderness in an open safari vehicle with expert rangers. The afternoon safari is ideal for spotting wildlife, especially during sunset when animals are more active. You will experience breathtaking views of the African skies and the excitement of seeing nocturnal animals in their natural habitat.

Day 3 - Morning safari – traveling back to Johannesburg.

We will wake up at 5:30 am and set out in an open vehicle to look for cats returning from their hunting missions or hyenas scavenging for food. We will have breakfast in the wild one last time before preparing for our journey back to the city, with our cameras full of photos of the Big Five and memories to last a lifetime. Pick-up time will depend on your flight departure or the time you need to be in Johannesburg.
