Day 1 – Journey from Johannesburg to Madikwe Game Reserve

Madikwe Game Reserve - Upon arrival, guests will be warmly welcomed by the hospitable staff at their luxurious pre-arranged accommodation. After a long drive, guests can unwind by the pool and enjoy the serene wilderness while awaiting the afternoon safari.

Afternoon 3-hour safari
At approximately 16:30, following high tea, the afternoon safari will commence in an open safari vehicle, led by experienced rangers on open-land cruisers. This offers the best sunset views unique to Madikwe Game Reserve. Various waterholes, frequented by animals in the evening, will be visited, ensuring plenty of wildlife sightings. Later, guests will return to their accommodation to enjoy dinner beneath the African sky.

Day 2 – Morning & Afternoon Safari

Pick-up time: 05:00 am
Guests will rise at dawn for an exhilarating adventure in search of Africa’s Big Five and other wildlife, including cheetahs, spotted hyenas, and African wild dogs. The sunrise provides a perfect backdrop for capturing stunning photographs. After an incredible morning, guests will return to the lodge for a delightful breakfast or brunch, followed by relaxation by the pool or exploring the lodge’s amenities.

Afternoon 3-hour safari
Guests will explore the wilderness in an open safari vehicle with expert rangers. The afternoon safari is ideal for wildlife spotting, especially at sunset when animals are more active. Guests will experience breathtaking views of the African skies and the excitement of observing nocturnal animals in their natural environment.

Day 3 - Morning Safari – Return to Johannesburg.

Guests will wake at 5:30 am to embark on an open vehicle safari, searching for cats returning from their hunts or hyenas scavenging. Breakfast will be enjoyed in the wild for the final time before preparing for the journey back to the city, with cameras filled with photos of the Big Five and memories to last a lifetime. Pick-up time will be arranged based on flight departure or the required arrival time in Johannesburg.
