The Diamond Tour now features an exciting addition: a Pretoria tour. This full-day experience includes visits to Pretoria City, the Voortrekker Monument, and the Union Buildings. Participants will have the chance to explore South Africa’s history during the 1800s and learn about the Dutch discovery of the “Country of Gold.” The tour guide, a third-generation South African, shares personal experiences of growing up near a gold mining site, attending one of the nation’s top schools, and representing South Africa in sports. These stories also highlight the country’s transformation into the Rainbow Nation.

The tour includes a surface visit to the renowned diamond mine, where participants can see the origins of the Queen of England’s diamonds and some of the world’s largest diamonds. An informative presentation precedes the two-hour surface tour.

Additionally, the tour now covers Pretoria’s Central Business District and Hatfield, the university town. Shane, a local from Pretoria, will introduce participants to the community at a local coffee shop.
