Shark cage experience - Not a lot of shark activity on the day we went out, only saw 4 or 5 but the crew was fantastic. Highly recommend this company.

Best Shark Cage Diving experience! - What a fantastic trip! We got to witness the beautiful Bronze Whaler Sharks and learnt so much from the Marine Biologist on our trip. The entire team was so welcomming and helpful, we will for sure be back! Also make sure to visit the African Penguin & Seabird Sanctuary to see what amazing conservation work this company does.

Bucket list tour! - Wow, what a cool experience! South Africa is famous for its sharks, especially in Gansbaai, so this tour was perfect. Plus I got to see more of beautiful South Africa on the drive from Cale Town, which was a bonus! I did not see great white sharks, nor was I expecting to. Please be open-minded about sharks as they are ALL awesome to see, not just the great whites! We saw bronze whaler sharks which were majestic! Also saw giant stingrays, cape fur seals, and loads of cool sea birds. Plus a stop at a penguin sanctuary! Our driver from Cape Town was the absolute best and he took us to see some cool places along the way plus gave us lots of interesting information. The van even had top-notch WiFi! The included breakfast before the dive, and hot soup lunch after, were very nice too. I definitely recommend this tour!

10/10 experience - We absolutely loved this experience. We were picked up promptly at 4:50am so be ready for an early morning! Drive to Gansbaai is absolutely beautiful. The Marine Dynamics team were all very knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife and the ocean and our experience. They take care of everything you need, all you need is your swimsuit and dry clothes. They assisted every step of the way and made sure every group in the cage got ample time for wonderful views. When you’re not in the cage, you have amazing views as well so there’s never a dull moment. The staff and volunteers are also very kind and compassionate when assisting those who may get seasick (me included). Once the ocean experience ended, we took a quick trip to the penguin rehabilitation center which was great as well. It’s a long and busy day but worth every minute and penny!

Great day out with the kids - What an unforgettable girls’ day out with our 3-year-old daughters, cage diving with Marine Dynamics! The staff were so friendly and made sure we felt safe and comfortable every step of the way, which made all the difference with little ones in tow. We were lucky enough to see 12 sharks, a ray, and even a seal—the excitement on the girls’ faces was priceless! A huge thank you to Wilfred for the adorable penguin teddies the girls got to take home—they’ve been carrying them everywhere since. It was such a special experience, and I can’t recommend it enough for families. A day we’ll be talking about for years to come!

The entire crew was Fantastic, but.................. - We had to travel 3 hours each way , It cost more than $500 for 2 people . We were only in the cage for 10-15 minutes. While everyone was friendly and upbeat , it was a lot of travel and money for such a short experience.

No great whites but still plenty of sharks - I did two shark cage trips a week apart with marine dynamics. Admittedly I was wanting to see a great white which was disappointing not to. Both times I saw plenty of bronze whalers the biggest around 3m. I had a shark come right up to the cage with its mouth wide open in front of my face which was exciting. On each trip I saw a shark breech out of the water. First time 50m away and today 3m from the boat. That is really exhilarating to witness! The staff were terrific - answered messages promptly (thanks Zezam!), helped me get my wetsuit on and off and getting me in and out of the cage. The swell both trips was over 2m which can make you feel quite seasick if you’re not used to it (there is ginger for that). You can get quite bumped around in the cage so hold on! The skipper was good, the boat travels fast bouncing over the waves which is another fun experience in itself. There is a small shop at the premises where you can purchase fossilised great white teeth which I did. This company is all about conservation which is especially important in today’s world. Thank you for such great trips out both times.

Provide honest information on what you will see - Marine Dynamics should be very clear you are very unlikely to see great whites. Two spotted in last 3 months. We didn’t even go the shark alley as listed. We were all packed in like sardines for dips in the cage for 20-25 mins in 10s, to see bronze whalers. Like a conveyor belt. No real marine biology explained only plugged sales at lunch (post dip) when 50% people already left. Considering profits from 35-40 people per dive (3 a day)… ‘poor show’ all round.
