Journey from Johannesburg to the Waterberg Region

Waterberg - The tour begins with a drive from Johannesburg to the quaint town of Mokopane. Our lodge, situated near Mokopane, is part of a private concession in the expansive Waterberg region. We will arrive at our accommodations in the afternoon. Guests will have the afternoon free to enjoy optional activities offered by the lodge, such as a game drive or a game walk.

Journey from Waterberg Region to Khama Rhino Sanctuary

Khama Rhino Sanctuary - We will embark on a 2-hour and 30-minute drive to the border between South Africa and Botswana. After completing border formalities, we will continue driving for approximately two hours to reach the Khama Rhino Sanctuary. In the late afternoon, we will enjoy a game drive around the sanctuary. Established in 1989, the 8,500-hectare Khama Rhino Sanctuary aims to protect endangered rhino species.

Journey from Khama Rhino Sanctuary to Elephant Sand Lodge

Botswana Adventure Activity

Chobe National Park - Following breakfast, we will head to Chobe National Park, a three-hour drive from Elephant Sand Lodge. Upon arrival, we will check in at our lodge and later participate in a three-hour sunset boat cruise, offering opportunities to see water birds, hippos, elephants, crocodiles, buffalos, and various water antelopes.

Morning Game Drive at Chobe National Park and Drive to Zimbabwe

Chobe National Park - Today, we will embark on a 3-hour morning game drive in a jeep at Chobe National Park. After the drive, we will return to our lodge for breakfast. We will then cross the border into Zimbabwe and proceed to Victoria Falls, located about 80 km from the Botswana-Zimbabwe border. The remainder of the day is free, with no scheduled activities for the afternoon.

Victoria Falls Tour and Optional Activities

Victoria Falls - After breakfast, we will visit Victoria Falls, just a 5-minute drive from our lodge. The afternoon is free for guests to explore the charming town of Victoria Falls, visit local markets, and engage in optional activities such as bungee jumping, sunset boat cruises, helicopter flights over Victoria Falls, and lion interactions.

Conclusion of the Tour - Airport Transfer

Victoria Falls - On the final day, after breakfast, guests will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport for their respective flights home.
