A Perfect Day in the Barossa with Skip - We celebrated our 10-year wedding anniversary with a full-day tour with Skip, and it was unforgettable. He listened to what we liked and curated the perfect day — beautiful cellar doors, warm and personal experiences, and plenty of local stories. Skip’s passion and knowledge made it so much more than just a wine tour. Truly a day we’ll never forget!

Barossa day out - Skip and Florence (cab) were amazing. Nothing was to hard or too much trouble. Had some amazing wine tasting adventures then some out of the way surprises. Skip text us the next day with some more things to see and do. We give Skip and our day out 5 stars out of 5. Thank you for a memorable day out in the Barossa.

A great fun unique tour. - We had a fantastic time out with Skip from Barossa Red Vintage Tours. A fun quirky tour going to special small cellar doors with exceptional wines. Skip is the perfect guide.
The cars are a lot of fun and I highly recommend the tour if you are in the Barossa Valley.

Great day - We spent a fabulous day with Skip. Friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. We had a few wineries we wanted to go to and then let Skip guide us the rest of the day. He took us to see this fabulous old house/museum called Luhrs Cottage. We also went to a fabulous tawny estate Liebichwein winery. Quaint and fabulous.
Most wineries charge betiwee $Aus10-20 per tasting per person. One was free as they knew Skip.
The big red cab is spacious and a fun drive.
I highly recommend Skip for a day tour so you can sit back and relax.

A Perfect Anniversary Tour with Skip and Rachel - Personalised and Unforgettable! - My wife and I booked the Big Red Full Day Private Tour for our anniversary, and it was hands down the most intimate and personalised tour we’ve ever been on. Skip, our amazing driver, made the day truly unforgettable. From the moment we set off, Skip listened to our preferences and tailored the experience perfectly to our tastes. Not knowing exactly where we wanted to go was no issue—he expertly chose destinations that suited us, uncovering hidden gems along the way.
Rachel, Skip’s wife, was also a big part of making our experience special. She was so easy to deal with when we were booking the tour, making the entire process seamless. As an added bonus, we even got to visit a winery where Rachel worked, and her warmth and hospitality really made our day even more memorable.
We visited some incredible wineries, historical villages, and scenic spots that were beyond beautiful, all thanks to Skip’s deep knowledge of the area. His warm personality and attention to detail made us feel so comfortable and special throughout the entire tour. It genuinely felt like a bespoke adventure curated just for us.
This was without a doubt one of the best days we’ve ever had, and it made our anniversary celebration even more memorable, Skip even surprised us with a bottle of wine for our anniversary. If you’re looking for an exclusive, tailored experience through Barossa Valley, Skip and Rachel are the people to go with. Highly recommended we loved everything about this day and would not hesitate to book again.

A great way to see Barossa. - The way to see Barossa Valley is to take a tour and let someone else drive so you can taste all the magnificent wines. There are a few private tour companies. All of them around the same price and not cheap but worth it.
We opted with Big Red Vintage tours. Skip picked us up on time, in fact he was early which was great. He has a wonderful vintage English Black cab painted in red! Spacious inside for the two of us and a fun way to see the valley.
There were a few wineries we wanted to visit and then we let Skip guide us and take us around.
We went to beautiful wineries all different sizes , all with beautiful gardens . We did about 4 wineries and a tawny place which was really delish and a cool place if you like fortified wine.
We stopped at a beautiful place for lunch.
Lunch is not included and either are the tastings. One tasting we did not have to pay as they knew Skip. The others were minimal , anywhere from $10-20 AUS per person. That is usually waved with a purchase and the wineries ship all over the world.
We got to see Luhrs Cottage which if you are a history buff you will love this old
Cottage from 1850.
Skip was knowledgeable, friendly and obliging.
Highly recommend touring the Barossa with Skip from Big Red Vintage tours.
