Memorable Day - My wife and I spent a memorable afternoon with Sam on the Temples of the Sun and Moon off road tour. Sam was a lot of fun and his knowledge and passion for sharing this beautiful place with his guests was quite evident. I highly recommend Western Whiptail Adventures to complete your Capitol Reef experience!

Go for it! - Our tour with Sam was incredible, extraordinary, awesome.
It was one ouf our highlight on our 5 week tour in the US. Sam brought us to beautiful places and he knew so much about the area, history and geology.

Don't miss this tour! - My tour with Sam was amazing! He was very knowledgeable, so fun, so flexible and made the most of the time we had together showing us all the most beautiful parts of the place he loves! Honestly, it's been one of the most favorite days I had during our month long stay in the area. Thank you Sam for answering all my questions, showing me the coolest places and making me laugh in the process. Next time I'm in the area we can continue where we left off!

Truly another planet! - What a fascinating tour! Our guide Sam couldn't have been nicer and was so knowledgeable! He picked us up at our hotel and we spent a half day together exploring rugged areas that you'd never manage on your own. We were miles off the beaten path and got to see the Temple of the Sun (400' high), The Temple of the Moon (350' high) and the Glass Mountain (which is formed of Selenite). Since it was just the three of us, we went exploring for dinosaur bones, gorgious views and learned a lot of area history. Truly a highlight on our National Park tour. Don't miss this!

A tour that exceeded all expectations! - This was my first time visiting Capitol Reef and I wanted to make the most of my time by seeing the best sights the area has to offer. From my first phone call with Sam, I knew I was in good hands. He not only went out of his way to bring me to areas I wanted to see, but he also brought me to multiple hidden gems in locations I would have never been able to access myself. When you take a tour with Sam you will leave with vast knowledge about the region, appreciation for the sacred history of the land, and tons of memories to go along with it. I highly recommend Western Whiptail Adventures to anyone visiting the area and I will certainly be a repeat customer myself when I visit again in the future! Thank you, Sam!!!

Great experience! - Sam has every thing you would want in a tour guide. Friendly, funny, and informative. We have done many tours and he is one of the best tour guides we have had. You cannot go wrong booking a tour with him.

Capital Reef off-road. - One of the best trips of my life. Saw parts of Capital Reef not normally experienced by most visitors. Sam was an outstanding guide that took care of me from bringing me an orange juice to showing me backcountry hi lights. Great trip one of my favorites.

WWA - an awesome Stone Temple Pilot! - We had an amazing tour with Sam near and in Capitol Reef! Sam was knowledgeable, entertaining and very service oriented. We loved seeing things that most visitors to Capitol Reef don’t see!
We enjoyed the conversation, ride, views and insight San provided. Capitol Reef is an underrated NP and San brought it to life for us!

Great tour and a great guide! - This was the best tour and guide imaginable. Really.
Sam knows the area - it's history, geography and interest points, as well as anyone could.
He shaped the tour around my interests and answered all of my questions.

Experience the REAL Cap Reef - We spent a BEAUTIFUL August morning with Sam, starting with sunrise at Moonscape Overlook and then moving onto Temple of the Sun & Moon and some hidden gems. Cannot recommend this experience enough - and please, please do yourself a favor and add the sunrise! My husband and I kept saying we felt more like we were hanging out with an old buddy rather than on a tour. You have not really experienced Cap Reef until you explore these farther-flung sections!
