This stunning red rock canyon scenery combined with Class III and IV white-water provides an unforgettable outdoor experience suitable for adventurous people who love a challenge.
- All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking; minimum weight requirement is 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Please note, prior to departure, all travelers will be required to sign a liability release
- Minimum age is 8 years old
- It is recommended to bring: Sturdy footwear (no flip flops/crocs-sandals like Chaco’s are acceptable), quick dry clothing, spring or fall rain suit, swimsuit or fast drying shorts, sun screen, lip balm, hat and a camera if wanted (preferably waterproof)
- Camping gear can be rented from the tour operator at an additional cost for overnight trips
- This river trip needs a minimum of 4 individuals to run. If your trip does not meet the minimum, you will be offered other tour options or get a full refund (Another option is to pay for remaining fares)

Our one day Westwater expedition departs 8:00 AM from NAVTEC Expeditions. Our office is located at 321 N. Main Street in Moab, UT. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. We return to our office/back to Moab around 5 to 6 PM. Please contact Navtec directly for pick-up.

Lots of drive time - The whitewater part is maybe only 40 min but the drive there and back is about 3 hours total. There is plenty of other time on fairly flat river but the views and eagles and heron was great. Will was a great guide and did all the rowing / steering so if you want to paddle be sure to ask about it. Lunch was awesome!

Enjoyable adrenaline fun - Amazing rafting trip down the Colorado river in Westerwater, an area of the river near the Colorado/Utah border. It involves a few hours drive to the start, mostly through gorgeous area alongside the river, but the white water and wildlife make it worth the effort. Friendly and informative guides. Thanks for the trip!

Do not miss in Moab - Class 3/4 rapids. Will and Nick were amazing guides!!! We felt very safe on the trip with them. Went thru many rapids and they were thrilling.

Fun rafting trip! - We had a perfect day rafting Westwater Canyon. Bridger was our guide and he did an awesome job navigating the rapids and making the trip a blast. There were 2 rafts on our trip - one where the participants helped paddle, and a second where the guide did all the work and we got to just sit back and enjoy the ride. Great day, highly recommend.

Had a great time - This is a must do trip if you are in Moab. Trip was for myself and 11 yo son and we had a great time. Overall the trip is mellow but had just enough easy whitewater to have excitement. It was a great and different view for the area. The guide was incredible and knew a lot about the area and history. The lunch they provided was very tasty (sandwich wraps, chips and homemade pasta salad). This trip is great for any age and I would recommend it. We did it on a hot day but that is what the water is for.

White Water Rafting Trip - I recently had the most incredible experience on the Navtec Westwater Whitewater trip and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From start to finish, everything was well organized and exceeded all my expectations.
Our guide, Lake, was an absolute superstar! His expertise on the river not only made me feel safe but also added an extra dimension of excitement to the trip. Lake's knowledge of the area, wildlife, and history really enhanced the overall experience. He was also super attentive to everyone's needs and made sure we all had a blast.
The scenery during the trip was breathtaking and the thrill of navigating through the rapids was unmatched. The entire team at Navtec were professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do.
I can honestly say this was one of the best outdoor adventures I have ever been on, and I cannot wait to do it again. If you're looking for a fun and exhilarating whitewater experience, be sure to book with Westwater Whitewater and request Lake as your guide - you won't be disappointed!

Amazing Experience for the Whole Family! - We did the Whitewater rafting tour that goes to WestWater Canyon. There are no words to describe how incredible our experience was as a family. We took a 13 and 10 year old. Our guide was Jacob who was awesome (so we’re Lake, Josh, and Paul). We felt safe and well taken care of! The rapids were great and the wildlife was beautiful. The scenery is something that is indescribable. The lunch was even great. I highly recommend booking them.

Only 1 hour of rapids! - We had great guides on this trip and had fun. I gave it 4 stars because the description (TripAdvisor and NAVTEC) made the trip sound more adventurous than it was. Our 8-hour trip had over 2 hours in a van, about 1 hour of waiting, 1 hour of awesome rapids, and the rest was basically a float trip (although you do see amazing rock layers from the river). We were hoping for lots more white water and may not have taken this trip if we knew the fun:slow ratio.

Great rafting - poor food - A great trip was spoiled by the catering. At the booking I requested a vegan option for the midday lunch. On the day I was offered a bowl of lettuce and a pre-made peanut butter and jello sandwich in a ziplock bag. Assuming Navtec would have some experience of varied diets I was expecting something more substantial, and it didn’t occur to me to ask the booking agent to specify what would be provided. Had I known, I could have brought my own, more filling, lunch.
A note to the manager received the reply that he would speak to the kitchen.
My recommendation to new clients is to precise about what you're going to get.
