One of his cooperative vineyards is situated at an altitude of 530m near Hvar’s St. Nicolas peak and is over 90 years old, featuring the indigenous wine variety “Darnekuša.” In addition to wines, guests can sample a wide range of flavored olive oils he produces. Mr. Ivo Duboković is renowned for his willingness to experiment with wines and olive oil, making him truly unique. Consequently, his wines are featured in top restaurants across Croatia, Switzerland, Germany, and recently in France. This humble yet esteemed winery will captivate you, and the taste of the flavored olive oils will linger throughout your vacation.

Excellent guide and great activity - This experience was excellent, Petar was a knowledge full guide and taught us about Hvar’s history as well as Croatia’s overall history. We learned about specific practices on the island dating back to Greek times, and saw incredible views. The wine tasting was also delightful, even though I’m not a wine guy. Would absolutely recommend!

Amazing little tour with a great guide (Petar)!!! - We had a really fantastic time on this tour! Petar was super friendly and informative. We loved the little stops Petar made on the way to the winery... AMAZING views! Our host, Paula, at the Dubokoviç winery was a blast!! It was a great way to see more of Hvar and taste some local wine!
Note: if you intend to purchase wine it's cash only. Make sure you find an ATM before you go to Hvar! 40% fee at the ATM we ended up using in old town. Ouch!!!

Would do again and again! - Highly recommend this tour. Petar was responsive and took great care of us, and he is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the island and Croatian people, being from Stari Grad himself. The Napoleon fortress offers some of the best views of the island (especially Hvar town), and the stops along the way were beautiful and informative. The stop at Dubokovic Winery was outstanding, the wine tasting room is super cool, and our hose Paula was an absolute riot. Would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to learn more about Croatia, Hvar, or wants good wine and good company!

Tour not to be missed! - Peter is an excellent tour guide who is completely knowledgeable about the area as his family has lived here for generations. He provides an immaculate, comfortable Mercedes van and is a very safe driver. The comprehensive tour with wonderful information and views culminates with an excellent wine tasting featuring top wines from the region. Do not miss this opportunity!

Book this tour, immediately - This was an incredible experience! Our guide, Luca, was so wonderful and knowledgeable about the island. He was easy to connect with, was personable, and so fun! The winery was perfect. Even though we went with friends, it was intimate, we tried more wines than expected, and were able to connect and ask as many questions as we wanted with our host. Heads up, the olive oil is for purchase but cash only! The wine can be shipped, but if you want olive oil, bring cash (you will want olive oil). This was perfect. You absolutely must book this tour!

Scenic Sips and Island Charm: A Lovely Day with Luka on Hvar - I joined the Hvar Island Tour with Wine and Olive Oil Tasting and had a lovely time! Luka, our driver and guide, was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared engaging stories about Hvar’s history and culture. Our small group of travelers—from Southern California, Atlanta, Chicago, and myself from Northern California—made for a warm and pleasant atmosphere throughout the day.
While I made the mistake of booking this tour right after doing the Wine Lovers Tour from Hvar the previous day (not realizing Duboković Winery and Napoleon Fort would be repeated), I still thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had hoped to visit a different winery, but Luka made the day feel fresh by taking a more scenic route back to Hvar Old Town, which was an unexpected highlight.
If you haven't already visited Duboković or done another wine tour, this one is definitely worth it. Beautiful views, great company, and excellent guidance from Luka made it a memorable outing.

History of Hvar through Lavender, Olives and Wine - Luka was a lovely, knowledgeable, and friendly host. His stories and insight into Hvar ranged from ancient history of the fortresses and lookouts, to the lavender fields, to harvesting the oilve trees on his families land. In the cellar at the Duboković Winery we were treated to more history of wine producing in the area and a full flight of Rose, white, red, skin contact, and Prošek (Dalmatian dessert wine) plus an olive oil flight as well.
