Delicious and fun foodie experience - This was one of the highlights from our time in Split. Our chef, Petar, was incredible! He met us near the farmer’s market to buy fresh produce for our meals and shared the history and rules of the market. We then stopped at the fish market-a building we had passed many times but never knew what it is until this experience. Back at the academy, we learned how to check that fish is fresh as well as how to clean them. While we cooked, we tasted four different liqueors-walnut, carob, lemon, and elderberry-all delicious! The food we prepared was delicious-baked dorado, sardines, sea bass carpaccio, calamari risotto, grilled veggies, homemade bread, chard and potatoes, salad, and rozata cake. We left with full bellies and new cooking skills to use when we return home.

Delicious and fun cooking experience - This was FANTASTIC! We loved the visit to the local produce and fish markets to start the tour and learning the history of the city along the walk to the cooking school. We also learned how to clean fish and test that it’s fresh. Our lead chef was wonderful (our class ended up being private), teaching us how to cook sardines, dorado, carpacchio, risotto with calamari, homemade bread, and rozata cake. I highly recommend if you are a foodie and want an authentic Dalmatian experience!

This was such an... - This was such an excellent experience. The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable, explained everything very well and was fun to be with in the kitchen. I learned how to clean a fish, something that has always intimidated me, and he made it so easy. Our meal was delicious, we made so much food I won’t need to eat again today!

Amazing cooking experience inSplit - We had a wonderful experience cooking wth Bruna on our recent trip to Split. We were fortunate enough to have a private class where we cooked numerous local dishes, the focus on seafood. I learned how to cook risotto the right way, as we were lead by the excellent chef Bruna. We really enjoed our experience with her and highly recommed this cooking class if you visit Split.

Entertaining and delicious - Five hours went quickly, green market then fish market then walk to cookery school, light snack before preparing sea bass ceviche, prawn risotto, fried dabs, salad potatoes and beans. Expert and fun tuition from Bruna, thank you.

Great intro to Mediterranean cooking. Hake, shrimp, sea bass and sea bream.... - We've taken cooking classes from Greece to Peru. This was one of the most fun and educational classes we've taken. Our chefs were entertaining and informative guiding us each step. The final product was delicious and filling. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Great cooking class experience! - Thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class and our learning and laughing experience. Chef Željko Neven Bremec is a world class chef. He educated us on the food we were about to prepare as as well as the benefit (taste in depth of flavor ) of preparing it according to his recipe. Our entire group enjoyed the meal as well as the process of making the food. It was a fun and uplifting experience. Definitely recommend split cooking.!

Would find something else to do - We had high hopes for this class. We travel frequently and enjoy cooking classes as a way to learn more about the culture of the places we are visiting. Unfortunately, this class did not meet our expectations. Our chef was nice, but not a seasoned professional as advertised. Our trip to the markets were very brief, with no additional explanation of the different things grown in this area. After a quick walk, we arrived at the studio - which was a small culinary school. The aesthetic was not warm or welcoming, but more like a high school foods lab. The meal prep was not as hands on as we would have liked - appetizers were already prepared, wine was just opened without further info of what we were drinking. Of course we asked questions, but were used to more of a conversation instead of QA session. The meal itself was just ok - nothing I look forward to recreating at home.
