Excellent Guide - Josko is an excellent and talented guide - very knowledgeable and personable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together and learned so much about the history of Split, Croatia and Diocletian’s Palace. As a local, Josko offers a breadth of information and expert knowledge coupled with humor and lots of anecdotes to keep things fresh and interesting. Highly recommend!

Very Knowledgeable and entertaining - Unplanned, we randomly met our guide Joško standing at the basement entrance to the Palace. He thoroughly reviewed our tour plan outside the palace before starting inside. He is very knowledgeable with an agreeable personality that appealed to all four of us. Hvala and bravo!

Private history tour - Josko gave us great information and insights into the palace's layout, the ruler and his cabinet, the life of the people who served him, and showing us how the land is used today.

Couldn’t have been better! - Josko was fantastic! Knowledgeable, personable, and humorous. Loved how he was able to weave in interesting, entertaining, and sometimes surprising, facts into the tour. Clearly someone that cared deeply about his personal connection to Split and wanted to make sure his guests walked away with the same deep appreciation he has for the palace and city. Expertly navigated the palace (and the crowds) and took us “off piste” in a couple of areas to make the experience feel personalized and special (eg, behind a closed off area to show us some carvings in some bricks that showed the presence of Jewish workers).

We highly recommend Josko - We met Josko on the recommendation of our trusted tour organizer whom we have worked with for years. Our private group of 6 just loved spending time with Josko. He is a long time proud resident of Split and an avid student of its fascinating history. He is also great fun to be with. He is one of the most friendly and social people you will meet, and as such has amazing contacts with friends at out of the mainstream restaurants that provided us with phenomenal experiences that we never would have had without him. As we traveled to other cities he had networks of other guides who were also fantastic. Josko’s love and pride in Croatia and its culture made him the most wonderful and authentic guide imaginable.
