- 8092 Marys Fish Camp Rd - Discover Florida’s cherished marine mammal, the manatee, on our guided 100% clear kayak eco tours during manatee season! After checking in, participants receive basic paddle instructions, including boat safety, kayaking etiquette, and guidance on paddling safely around manatees, or as we call it, your manatee manners! The paddle adventure lasts approximately 2 hours, depending on the group’s pace and any wildlife sightings along the way. This is a wildlife experience, and while wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, part of the excitement is learning to identify the signs and clues left by creatures like manatees!
The initial part of the paddle takes place in the serene and tranquil coastal waters, where paddlers pass by a Bald Eagle’s nest, with the possibility of seeing them nesting from October to May (tide permitting). The journey continues up the clear waters of the Weeki Wachee, Florida’s most iconic and popular freshwater spring for recreation! Weekends and holidays can be bustling! Expect a fantastic workout as currents and winds can be stronger from November to March. Our guides will capture your photos and share fascinating facts about the area at several scenic stopping points! We remain in our kayaks throughout the tour.

Paddling in a clear kayak provides enhanced visibility of manatees and their underwater environment! These gentle aquatic giants inhabit the Weeki Wachee River and nearby waterways year-round, but during the cooler months, more manatees seek the Weeki Wachee and surrounding areas as their warm water winter refuge (November 14-March 31st).
