Experience the thrill of Squamish’s scenic beauty this Easter weekend with a mix of adrenaline-pumping adventures and serene retreats. From rainy day mountain tours to challenging hikes and tranquil parks, there’s something for every adventurer.
Embrace the Elements: A Rainy Day Adventure
As the rain gently taps on your window, you might be tempted to stay indoors, but Squamish’s rugged beauty beckons the bold-hearted. On March 29th, the weather may be partly cloudy with a high chance of rain, but that only adds to the thrill of the Mountain Tour adventure. Starting at 9:30 AM, this full-day private mountain tour takes you through the iconic Sea-to-Sky Highway, where the misty mountains and cascading waterfalls create a dramatic backdrop for your journey.
Feel the adrenaline as you traverse the path leading to the 2010 Winter Olympics, with stops at the majestic Shannon Falls and the awe-inspiring Whistler Village. The rain-soaked trails and the sound of water rushing down the falls add an element of raw beauty to the experience. As you wander through the quaint village shops or hike the woodland trails, the rain becomes a companion, enhancing the vibrant colors of the landscape.
“Great day trip - Our guide Shannon made it such a fun day trip for us. Driving through Stanley Park, stopping at Shannon Falls Park, having a ride on Sea to Sky Gondola, having lunch in Whistler and driving all the way back to Vancouver in one day would have been impossible on our own. Shannon made the whole trip so easy. She is very professional. We also would like to add she is a safe driver. Thank you, Shannon!!” - Reviewed on 2024-10-11
Conquer the Chief: A Hiker’s Dream
On March 30th, the weather clears up slightly, offering a partly cloudy day with a maximum temperature of 52.4°F. It’s the perfect setting for the Chief Hike starting at 8:00 AM. This demanding trail rewards you with breathtaking panoramas of Squamish, Howe Sound, and the surrounding coastal ranges. As you ascend the 2000’ vertical climb, the cool breeze and the scent of pine invigorate your senses.
The trail is challenging, but the view from the first peak is worth every step. The sight of paragliders and squirrel suit jumpers soaring off the second peak adds an extra thrill to the adventure. After conquering the Chief, celebrate your achievement with a visit to a local brewery, where a well-deserved beer awaits.
“Awesome hike with Ria! - Our guide for the trip was Ria, and she was 5 star from beginning to end. Pick up was easy, and we enjoyed a nice ride up to Squamish. The hike to the first peak was a challenging 2000’ vertical, took us 1:30 up, about an hour down. The weather was perfect, and we saw some paragliders and squirrel suit jumpers off the 2nd peak. We then had a great beer and pizza in town before heading back to Vancouver. Ria was the perfect guide for this day, and we would love to hike and tour with her again someday. If you are active and like hiking, this is a great 6 hour excursion-highly recommend!” - Reviewed on 2023-10-23
