Rafting Team 39 - Kitulgala is a town positioned on the western side of the road from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. It is famous for its adventure sports and is a favored spot for whitewater rafting enthusiasts. The Kelani River, which runs through Kitulgala, provides an exhilarating experience with its rapids and tides. The river features five major rapids and four minor rapids, and the entire rafting adventure lasts about 90 minutes, covering a distance of 6.5 km. The activity is available to anyone over the age of 10 and includes safety equipment and a thorough safety briefing by whitewater rafting instructors. Besides whitewater rafting, Kitulgala is also well-known for activities such as confidence jumping, stream sliding, waterfall abseiling, jungle trekking, bird watching, cave exploration, and river trips and expeditions.
