Udawalawe National Park - This short but unforgettable safari will take you to some of the best haunts of wildlife within the Udawalawe National Park. With the support of your safari guide you will be able to catch sight of a number of flora and fauna native to Sri Lanka. The safari is designed to give you an understanding of animals in the wild, and will bring you many steps closer to raw nature.
You will be travelling in the rough terrain open Safari Jeep for the most part. But there may be points where your guide may suggest getting off and walking closer for a clear view of birds and other small wildlife. However, the safari takes serious consideration of your safety and therefore, with regards to the wild elephants and other larger wildlife, it is strongly advised that you do not descend from your jeep for safety purposes (especially when coming upon lone elephants, which may get aggressive when disturbed).

A great safari - especially for elephant fans - Great experience. Id you want to see elephants up close this is the place for you. The driver and guide took great care to ensure that we noticed the animals hiding in the bushes and gave us ample time for viewings and photo taken. It was a magical day.

Choose Shameera for a successful safari - We booked the Safari on the Viator website and arrived there we found our guide with his safari Jeep! This one gave us a lot of tips not to get fooled on our safari , he took the time to stop when he saw wild animals and he gave us a lot of information about animals , he even had a book where he showed us directly the characteristics of these animals! Always smiling! And concerned about animal welfare! We had a great experience for this Safari with Shameera! I recommend you do not hesitate , you will not regret it!

Amazing elephant safari - Great safari trip. Super friendly driver. Saw so many elephants and was a brilliant trip. We have two small children aged 4 and 6 and they both enjoyed it.

Great experience! - This was a major highlight of our trip. The guides were informative, patient, and kind. I recommend taking the last slot to enjoy the most incredible sunset. We got to take lots of photos and indulged in a King coconut provided by our guides. Definitely recommend!

Worth a visit - Really enjoyed our trip into Udawalawe National Park. We did a morning safari, (6am 10th March 2024). The driver was prompt and professionally friendly. The vehicle is in excellent condition. A very comfortable drive. Had a great few hours in the park observing assorted wildlife - notably elephants, but buffalo, jackals, monkeys, crocodiles. A traffic jam around the significant elephant sighting and a somewhat busy park but not as crazy as Yala.
