Your odds of spotting a Sri Lankan leopard at this location are incredibly high, alongside a significant likelihood of seeing elephants. Our visit coincided with a mini-drought at Yala national park, resulting in the elephants moving deeper into the park towards the enduring lakes, away from the main roads. Nevertheless, we were lucky to catch sight of a solitary male elephant foraging amidst the trees. During periods when Yala is not affected by drought, you can expect to see groups of elephants openly wandering the park.
