ARRIVAL IN SRINAGAR - LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

Dal Lake - Upon arriving in Srinagar, a representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to the pre-booked hotel. Complete the check-in process, relax for a while, and then set out to explore Srinagar. Stroll through the renowned Mughal Gardens, including Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh, and visit the Chashma Sahi natural spring, enhancing the beauty of these regal landscapes against the Zabarwan Hills. Visit Pari Mahal and the sacred Hazaratbal Shrine, where a hair strand of Prophet Mohammad is preserved. Also, visit the Shankaracharya Temple. In the evening, spend time by the lake and explore the local markets.

Gulmarg - Gulmarg, meaning “meadow of flowers,” was named by Sultan Yusuf Shah of the Chak Dynasty, who visited the area with his queen Habba Khatoon in the 16th century. The Mughal emperor Jahangir collected 21 varieties of wildflowers for his gardens in Gulmarg. SRINAGAR TO PAHALGAM

Pahalgam - After breakfast at the hotel, drive towards Pahalgam via Awantipora Ruins and Saffron fields. Pahalgam (2133 meters), also known as ‘The Valley of Shepherds’ or ‘Trekker’s Paradise,’ is a famous location for the Indian Film Industry. Pahalgam offers breathtaking views. Enjoy the town of Pahalgam and trek to some of the most beautiful places on earth. Trek to Lidderwater. Pahalgam is also the entry point for the famous Amarnath Cave, a sacred site for Hindus.

Betab Valley - Visit Betaab Valley, located 15 km from Pahalgam town, and one of the most beautiful valleys around Pahalgam. The valley is renowned as a setting for the popular Bollywood film, Betaab.

Aru Valley - Aru village is about 12 km from Pahalgam. Taxis are available from Pahalgam on a shared basis. It is a beautiful village, visited by fewer tourists, and is more peaceful than Pahalgam. Some scenes from the film ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ were shot here. The ride from Pahalgam to Aru offers some of the most picturesque viewpoints. Pony rides are organized on the gentle slopes at Aru.

PAHALGAM - SRINAGAR HOUSEBOAT

Pahalgam - After enjoying the sightseeing in Pahalgam, drive towards Sonmarg in the evening and enjoy the scenic views along the way.

Dal Lake - After appreciating the beauty of Pahalgam, proceed to Srinagar and head straight to the houseboat. Srinagar is the capital city of Jammu & Kashmir, situated at an altitude of 1,730 meters. In the heart of the Kashmir valley, Srinagar spreads out on both sides of the Jhelum River. The valley’s beauty has attracted visitors from distant lands. Sonmarg - After breakfast at the hotel in Srinagar, drive to Sonamarg, situated at an altitude of 2730 meters, known as ‘The Meadow of Gold.’ Its backdrop features snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River meanders through the valley, teeming with trout and mahaseer. The drive to Sonamarg is through the Sindh Valley, presenting yet another spectacular facet of the Kashmir countryside. Thajiwas Glacier - Thajiwas Glacier offers many adventurous routes with stunning green water and frozen lakes around. Thajiwas Glacier is a major tourist attraction in the region, located 7 km from Sonamarg. Monsoon (July to September) is not very vigorous, but the hilly rugged terrains can become slippery. It is challenging to undertake. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas Glacier, a major local attraction during the summer months.
