A Must-See Tour with Benny! - If you’re visiting Saint Augustine, do not miss the Old Jail tour and if you’re lucky enough to get Benny as your guide, you’re in for a real treat! Benny brought the history of the Old Jail to life with the perfect mix of humor, knowledge, and theatrics. His storytelling was vivid and captivating, making it easy to imagine what life was really like behind those cold iron bars over a century ago. He managed to balance the darker aspects of the jail’s history with light-hearted moments that kept the whole group engaged—from kids to adults. You can tell he’s passionate about what he does, and it makes the experience all the more memorable. This was hands down one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you, Benny, for making history fun, informative, and unforgettable!

Boss Benny and the funny, interesting, educational tour - We were really lucky and got "Boss Benny" as our tour guide. He was funny and educational. He even sang a short song with his beautiful voice. The tour was so interesting. Benny gave us time to really look around and imagine what it would have been like. He brought history to life. I recommend this tour - but be sure to ask for "Boss Benny" to get the most out of it.

History Meets Fun - This is an entertaining tour led by an "inmate" of the jail. Our guide was Lydia and she delivered all of her jokes perfectly. We laughed, but we learned quite a bit too. They take a very sober subject but package it in such a way that vacationers find it fun and enjoyable.

Great day out - We’d not been for a few years, but it was such an enjoyable day out. We travelled from Orlando, as. A day trip, stopping at Buccees on the way.for breakfast. Booking was easy on site, and the tour guide Louis at the jail, was so funny, def made the experience there. Onto to the bus tour, where the driver was extremely knowledgeable, marred only by 4 people behind us talking constantly over the driver, which was annoying. Back to the old store museum, again the tour guide was friendly, and very knowledgeable. Anyone travelling to St Augustine for the day, this tour is a must. We booked package 1, which suited our needs, and was well worth the money.

Not to be Missed - We had not originally planned on visiting the Jail, but do not make that mistake. It is a fabulous tour. Built in 1891, it is the oldest jail of its kind in Florida. The guides are dressed as inmates and provide a lot of actual history and stories about everyday life at the Jail. Our guide was Benny from Brooklyn and he played his part perfectly. They also have a large collection of weapons and artifacts.
