For a moment, you’ll be the easternmost person in North America. Experience the power of the wild North Atlantic crashing against the rocks, explore historical points of interest including the massive cannons installed to defend North America in WW2, and, weather permitting, ascend to the lighthouse for the most spectacular views anywhere.
- Petty Harbour - Just outside of St. John’s is the quaint, working fishing village of Petty Harbour, home to Great Big Sea singer Alan Doyle.
- Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s - An off-the-beaten-path coastal town on the Conception Bay shore overlooking the beauty of Bell Island. Here, we’ll stop for a meal of freshly caught seafood cooked up by the locals at By the Beach.
- Signal Hill - Ascend the iconic Signal Hill, home to Cabot Tower, with unparalleled views of St. John’s, her harbour, the North Atlantic Ocean, Fort Amherst, and Cape Spear. From up here, the view stretches for miles!
- Quidi Vidi - We’ll stop here towards the end of the tour if time permits. We usually have time:)
