Morning at the aquarium - We stayed here one morning during our holidays in Malta.
Very cute even for our daughter of almost 2 years
It's not great but well organized
C is also a corner with reptiles
An area where you can create your own fish with iPad to project on a big screen.
A very nice thing is that outside there is a large air play very nice for children.
Highly recommended

A Relaxing and Enjoyable Visit - The Malta National Aquarium is a great experience for both kids and adults.
The exhibits are well-organized, educational, and engaging, making it easy to enjoy at your own pace.
One of the best parts was how peaceful it was — not too crowded, so you can really take your time and enjoy the marine life.
After exploring, you can unwind at the on-site restaurant, which offers a beautiful view of the sea.
If you time it right, the sunset is absolutely stunning — a perfect way to end the visit.
Highly recommended for a fun and relaxing outing in Malta!

A Must Do in Malta - Such a lovely place to visit, well worth the 45min bus trip from Sliema. Highly recommended, a must is the Deep Explorer experience 👌

Small, nice experience - Nice experience, with a wide variety of fish and animals. Interesting and educational talks, make it a good place to go, although it is quite small, and doesn’t take long to see everything. The submarine experience was fun, and interesting, showing what it would be like to go deep into the ocean. Upstairs is the underwater heritage centre, that goes through interesting shipwrecks around Malta and Gozo. Overall, this is a fun place to learn about Maltese seas.

It's funny - Although not very large, it has plenty of variety and funny scenarios.
You have a simulation experience of a submarine, very interesting.
Overall it was a bit well spent

Not a bad activity, but expensive for what it is - Although the Aquarium is a great experience for the kids, it’s pretty small and we were round it in less than half an hour. Not a bad place to go for a rainy day activity, just prepare for a shock at the ticket prices

It can be done... - To make a different day it was a pleasant visit, we needed a break from the sea, we decided to visit the aquarium. All in all it's cute, nice settings, there is a small simulator that takes you inside a submarine, we attended the talk about sharks, it was pleasant and interesting. The aquarium itself is not very large, we went around three times (at least) we went back to see the tanks that we liked the most. I put three stars because at the entrance they show you two videos one that withdraws a giant octopus playing with a ball 🐙 but the octopus is not there, we asked it is not there, there should be the normal one in a small tank, but we did not see it, maybe it was well camouflaged. Another video shows them petting manta rays, another thing we asked for and another thing that does not exist.
Inside the aquarium included in the ticket there is also a small part dedicated to the reptile, cute.
There is a "plastic room" where they explain the harmfulness of the same in the sea and where children (and not) on a digital screen can choose a fish to color, decorate it and then send it to a giant screen that plays a virtual aquarium and see it swim there with the others, nice!
Upstairs there is a "cinema room" where they broadcast a short video of underwater that explains where they found archaeological finds a couple of which you can also see inside the display cases on the floor, there is then the hologram room (😑I don't get better comment), four photos of artifacts that if selected appear just above in 3d. On floor 0 there is the gift shop and the restaurant...sushi...a bit indelicate inside an aquarium (this is my personal joke).
Overall I find the experience satisfactory, especially my daughter, 12, liked it, so ok. They weren't supposed to put up videos that throw off. Their talks about the various themes are little publicized, unclear schedules (again we had to ask).
Last but not least parking that is not free!! 5€ to be paid at the entrance with the ticket collected at the entrance of the bar, if you find a place you can park in the parking lot of the beach in front and make it on foot (2 minutes) 5€ parking plus the entrance are not welcome at all!!
Throughout the visit, to stay wide, it will last 3 hours.
