Penguin tour with Nicel - It was a well-organized tour. We were 2 couples and our guide Nicel. He was very friendly and answered many questions. We had enough time to explore the 3 points of contact. In Rokkerybay there was unfortunately only 1 lonely penguin, however we could see dolphins. We continued to Yorke Bay, where we made a walk through the dunes and were able to observe a whole group of Gentoo penguins. In Cipsy grove we had another little hike and could see Magellanic penguins in their caves. Afterwards Nicel made us a short photo top at 2 sights at the request of the British couple. Overall, it was a very nice tour that you can only recommend

Disappointed - Very disappointed with the organisation of this trip, not Viator standard, it was a third party company.

Guide? What guide? Worst tour ever! - This is a 0 star review! Booked with GYG as we have had great tours with them - however this was the worst, and one of the most expensive tours I have attended and I feel as though we were ripped off! Pre-tour communication and check in were fine - but from that point it was dreadful. We set off in an old mini bus without a guide or any introduction and a silent driver - following another old minibus who lost their way en-route to the first stop! The ‘guide’ was a clueless young person, in charge of both buses and barely spoke apart from when they struggled to try to answer basic questions such as “where are we?” “What should we be looking at?” I can’t begin to describe how upset we were - the whole experience was absolutely dreadful! I had a word with the organiser on our return who admitted that a guide has not turned up - not good enough when there is bus full of client who have paid £130 each for ‘knowledgeable local guides’ I am currently seeking a refund from GYG with little response 30+ days after making a claim. Deserves 0 stars but had to give one!
