An awesome experience of the diverse food of Brazil - We thoroughly enjoyed this food tasting experience in Rio thanks to our guide Bernardo! He was so knowledgeable and friendly, plus he went out of his way to ensure that we were satisfied with this tour. We tried a variety of foods from across Brazil and it was nice to learn about the different type of cuisines that this beautiful country has to offer.

EPIC food and history tour - This tour was EPIC! We went to so many places and ate/drank incredibly well. Lia was a super great tour guide, we absorbed lots of local history and caught a really cool evening of samba music that we'd otherwise never have. Take this tour!

Great way to experience local food! - We had a great evening with Jurema and got to experience Brazilian food and drink that we probably wouldn’t have otherwise tried. We went to local restaurants in various neighborhoods which we wouldn’t have found on our own. Would highly recommend this tour !

Good experience tasting ethnic Brazilian foods. - This was fun and interesting trying out different local foods. I also enjoyed hearing a bit of Brazilian history which always has influenced local eats. I did miss trying Brazilian BBQ.

Loved the food tour! - Did the tour literally 2 hours after landing in Rio. I was a bit late but it was no issue. Our group was small but we had so much fun. Lia was so knowledgeable on the food and the culture in Brazil. She showed us around Rio and we tried local specialties. I fully 100% recommend doing this if it’s your first time in Rio.

Enjoyable experience - The food tour was very nice, we had a great time with our guide Fernanda, she taught us many amazing things about the food and the culture and every day life! I think it was a bit pricey for what it was but it was a very good way to taste many brazilian dishes that I would have never ordered in a restaurant!

Fun but not tasty… - We had a good time on the Rio Food Tour but we were disappointed with the food and the lack of coordination. Unfortunately, it seemed like many parts of the tour were not prepared (e.g., reservations at the venues, transport between venues, availability of dishes, etc.) and our tour was over-subscribed. This lead to uncertainty in the plans and the tour overrunning by nearly two hours. We had the majority of the dishes at a single restaurant and we were disappointed - based on our subsequent visits to other restaurants in Rio, we know Brazilian dishes can be prepared to a higher standard and taste much better. The only saving grace was the hospitality, knowledge, passion, and friendliness of our tour guide - they really went above and beyond in certain aspects of the tour. We had a lot of fun with the tour group, that we likely wouldn’t have had with a different guide or different group of people. It is difficult to recommend this tour; however, it will remain a highlight of our trip but not always for the right reasons.
