From this vantage point, the view is truly breathtaking, with the Tijuca National Forest sprawling below and a circle of mountains framing the horizon at the far end of Guanabara Bay. After spending some time exploring and taking photos, the journey back down begins.

Rio de Janeiro tour - We had a great day and really enjoyed visiting Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain. They were both amazing places to see. Our tour guide Leandro Goncalves was a great tour guide and very informative as we passed places along the way.

A great day tour in Rio De Janeiro! - Roman our guide from Gregtur was terrific! He took us on a 6 hour tour of Rio De Janeiro that lasted 8 hours and we saw Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf both of which were
Spectacular as well as a huge modern Catholic cathedral and the Opera district. We
Had a great lunch in the upper cable car station at Sugar Loaf. Roman sped our way
Thru long lines by utilizing priority lines and they had us buy our event tickets the day before. Adriana was our driver and she expertly bobbed and
Weaved thru the heavy Rio traffic. Very nice
And knowledgeable people and they dropped
Us off at the International Airport and picked
Us up at Our Cruise ship at 8:30

A Great Tour before boarding our ship! - Newton was fantastic. We were picked up at the airport drove around seeing the highlights including the national park around and then we were dropped off at the ship. Spoke perfect English and shared his love for the outdoors. Stay with us the whole time, translating and taking pictures for us. A perfect day before jumping on the ship in the late afternoon.

Rio in 6 Hours - Arrived on Valentines Day, and in the middle of Carnival. Busy streets but this experienced team effortlessly navigated the parties and traffic to Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mtn. Due to our docking issues, our delightful Lorraine had to leave, but professionally introduced us to Alex. Alex finished our tour with a drive around the historic area and to our delight took us through the Lapa neighborhood carnival to the colorful mosaic steps. What a fun experience to be a small part of Carnival. It was a great day and everything we could hope for.

Exploring Rio de Janeiro with Gregtur Turismo - This company, Gregtur Turismo, was recommended to me (a solo senior female traveller) by my Canadian travel agent. My request was to be met at the cruise port in Rio de Janeiro on disembarkation morning, spend several hours exploring the city with a knowledgeable English-speaking guide and driver, and then be dropped at the international airport for my late evening flight. My expectations were not only met, but exceeded.
Tour guide Romayne and driver/tour guide Jose Carlos were most knowledgeable and professional with added bonus of good humour. English language skill was good. I had two large suitcases with me which were securely stowed in the large vehicle for the day. The vehicle was tired but comfortable and the driver's skill through crowded streets and heavy traffic was evident.
Romayne's wife Tania, a lovely smiling woman, accompanied us after I agreed. I was asked if I would like her to come "for me to feel more comfortable with a woman around". I appreciated that consideration.
The guides had been informed that I had previously visited the "main" tourist sites - Corcovado, Sugarloaf Mountain gondola etc. and were happy to show me lesser-known aspects of the city. I was skillfully guided to sites including the Royal Portuguese Reading room - very impressive - the Municipal Theatre, Selaron Staircase, the oldest tea and coffee house in Rio, Museum of Tomorrow and panoramic views from various vantage points of the Lagoon, Copacabana, Leblon and Ipanema beaches. We all enjoyed a standup lunch of shrimp pie at a local outdoor bar in the Urca neighbourhood.
At the end of the tour I was driven to the international airport where Romayne insisted on helping me with my heavy luggage, spent another 30 minutes or more to ensure I understood exactly where I needed to check-in and when, where the bathrooms and snack bars are located.
As a senior I especially noted and appreciated that I was unfailingly treated with respect and very kind consideration for my minor mobility issues. I can confidently recommend this company and Romayne, Jose Carlos and Tania.

6 hour tour of city - We had Vitor and was extremely impressed with his knowledge, friendly manner and ease of talking with him. He’s very attentive with what you want to do. And if you don’t know what to do, he makes great suggestions!! Highly recommend for sure!

Reliable responsive company and outstanding guide - I highly recommend this tour company whose staff was very responsive when I confirmed the tour and had questions about my options. Everyone I spoke with was excellent, kind and helpful. My guide Vitor was fantastic. He showed us the greatest sites I never even knew about and filled us in on the history. Plus he gave us great insight into Rio today. Don’t hesitate to book with this company. I will book with them again if we return. We saw mind-blowing good covered churches and had a ball climbing the Selaron Steps.

River with flexibility and comfort - We had an excellent experience with Vitor as our guide in Rio de Janeiro. He has an impressive knowledge of the history of the city and was able to explain everything in a clear and interesting way.
The private tour was great as it gave us total flexibility to adjust the stops according to what we wanted in the day.
In addition, we made the tour in a armored car, which was a great differential and brought even more comfort and tranquility. Vitor's English is excellent, which greatly facilitated the experience. I highly recommend!
